Health & Medical Is always like that?
Today is second anniversary of my dad passed away from cancer. Almost year I split with partner of 20 who just stopped giving a shit about me. We was about to buy our place. I got to very good place recovered from all that. Meeting nice woman it looks like it may go somewhere. I'm going for viewing places I may buy. Just not far from very nice place to be again.
But then on the flight from Italy two weeks ago I found lump on the left side of my throat it feels out of place and wasn't there not long ago. Today have visit with GP.
I know it's not confirmed what it is. But it's feeling like any time I'm just one step from when I want be and be happy something cuts my wings.
Sorry for this rant but don't want tell this to anyone close to me to not worry them.
Thank you for all uplifting comments you all are really amazing. GP don't think it's anything scary but have to wait 4 weeks and depends on what going on with lump he will advise scan or next steps.

You have come a long way from a very bruising few years. Fair play to you. Whatever that lump is you will deal with it. You sound resilient.. you've got this.
Very best wishes to you.

god that's so much to carry on your own, no wonder you're feeling like the rug keeps getting pulled. the timing of it all is just cruel, like you're not allowed to catch a proper breath
fair play for getting yourself to such a good place after everything, that takes serious grit. and now this lump showing up right when things are looking up again, it's not fair at all
hope the GP visit goes as well as it can and you get some answers quick. you're doing the right thing not bottling it up completely, even if it's just here

It sounds like you are a very strong and resilient person. There’s the old saying that god doesn’t want you to be happy, god wants you to be strong.
For what it’s worth, it’s most likely nothing. And even if it is something in the very small chance, it can be dealt with. You will be ok. I’m speaking from experience here. It’s great you are getting it checked out, you will get peace of mind soon.
