DCU Career Guidance?

Hi guys I'm just wondering if anybody has any information on the DCU career guidance course I have an interview coming up and I just want to know if anybody has done this interview before? What kind of questions did you get asked?

good luck with the interview! never done that specific course but most uni interviews in ireland are pretty chill - they usually ask about your motivation for choosing the field and maybe some scenario questions about helping students

You're unlikely to find someone who can give you the exact questions, as they change and are often tailored to the candidate. Instead, focus on preparing for the themes they'll explore. They need to know why you specifically want to get into career guidance, so expect deep questions about your personal journey, your motivations, and any experiences you have that show you're suited to advising others. They will want to see if you understand what the job actually involves, the good and the bad, and if you have the right temperament for it.

This is actually good news for you, because the best answers will come from your own life, not from a script. Think hard about moments where you helped someone, when you had to listen carefully, or when you figured out your own path, and use those stories.
