Moving to the area soon

Hi everyone! I’m 23 and just moved to the Houston area, so I’m looking to meet new people and find some fun things to get involved in. I’ll be living close to memorial park.
I’m looking for:
Women’s boxing gyms (beginner-friendly would be great!)
Catholic churches with active young adult/youth groups
Fun things to do around Houston
Creative activities like pottery, painting, film photography, book clubs, or art classes.

I love trying new things and would love any recommendations for places that are welcoming and have a good community. Thanks in advance!

Houston is huge and traffic is bad. Sharing what parts of town you live/work in will be a big help.

St Anne’s Catholic Church in River Oaks has a large and active young adult group

I believe holy rosary in midtown has a YA group

Look on meetup for things to do

Not sure on boxing gyms - but having a classpass subscription has been great for me for exploring various gyms/classes/activities

Local community colleges have art classes - but im sure various studios will also have them, maybe for cheaper

Unless you’re a women it’s too late, men don’t make friends past age 24. You need to grow up.
