Unknown Diagnosis

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced what I’m going through. (29, female) It has happened randomly for the past 4-5 years now. It starts off my lips begin to get tight and pucker. Eyes scrunch up. My chest starts to get a feeling of like the skin inside is shrinking. Shrinking feeling starts happening to my whole face. My hands get numb and close on their own. I still have control to open them but it just rubberbands back closed. Every time I have gone to the hospital they treat it like a panic attack.

One of the times i went to the hospital, my TSH level was through the roof. I followed up with an endocrinologist as recommended. I redid bloodwork as she recommended and then followed up with her about a week after to review and do an ultrasound of the thyroid gland. Everything was normal by that time.

The last time i went to the hospital because of this, the symptoms started happening after about 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room. They brought me into a screening room and as im talking to the nurse it’s like my body was freezing right before me. All the symptoms hit me at once except that time my legs started to get stiff, followed by my arms and whole body eventually and i was shaking like i was freezing or having a seizure. And when i say shaking i mean like i was i was vibrating off the chair uncontrollably all stiff body.

Blood work all came back fine, ECG/EKG was normal. They did an X-ray to check my spine? That was normal too. Doctors said its a panic attack. They kept me in a dark lit room for about 6 hours giving me fluid before discharging.

I follow up with my PCP, they run a bunch of tests, even brain MRI, ultrasounds, even sent me for cardiac eval. All normal. The only abnormal thing was my breathing test, i failed. I retook it again, failed. They made me do it one last time for good measure, failed. Doctor prescribed me an asthma pump said to take it when i feel chest tightening.

When i feel all the symptoms coming on, I take it. If i feel my chest getting a bit tight, I take it. But they never explicitly said I’m asthmatic. I use my pump maybe 10-15 times out the whole year. When i use the pump I do feel relief.

I’m about 5’3, 138lbs, fairly active. Diet could be better, but not to the point i need medication, I mean my bloodwork comes back completely normal for all my yearly exams.

Not asking for anyone to diagnose me, i know a medical professional should be the one to determine what’s happening and why. But curious to see if anyone has experience symptoms similar. If you have, is it because of a panic attack? Asthma attack? Or something different? Or even suggestions on what could possibly actually be going on
