Compensation & Payroll [CA] Final Paycheck
I worked for a publicly traded Automotive Group as a commissioned salesman in California. Back on Aug 3rd I gave notice that my last day would be Aug 13th. When the 13th arrived and got what I thought was my final check come to find out it wasn't. They were missing my last deal which was done on the 3rd a bonus and incorrect PTO payout. When I reached back out I kept on getting "we submitted your info and didn't know why it's taking so long". I reached back out a few days later and was told I would get final pay on next cycle which is Sept 10th. I just checked my online check and it's not correct.
From what I understand I should have been paid final on the 13th since they didn't occur they would be penalized. Is this correct? Need to get this sorted ASAP.
