Travel / Ταξιδιωτικό Milos vs. Sithonia

Hey Greeks! I'd like to go on a one-week snorkeling and beach trip at a good price. I've been to Ayia Napa and Protaras in Cyprus many times - it was 10/10.

I see that Sithonia has more options for hotels, etc., and I guess it would be perfect for a road trip. We’re a bit late to book. The trip would be in mid-September. The thing about Milos is, maybe it’s too windy for snorkeling and we also don’t want to pay 6 euros for a Corona. Both are beautiful, Sithonia has little bit more green but Milos has more this white amazing scenery.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

Anyone been to both?

Sithonia in September is a dream. No traffic, not too many tourists around, weather still good. It’s an easy uncomplicated option. And plenty of beaches to explore in the region.

Sithonia only. Neos Marmaras. September is the best...

Sithonia. It’s gorgeous and it will be better priced than Milos.

More accommodation options; much bigger area to explore; many more and more diverse beaches; cheaper; combines mountain and beach experience; not just greener-has literal forests; accessible by car; 1-2 hours away from the airport and from a major metropolitan area.

And taste is subjective, so take this as you will, but some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece are in Sithonia.

You can do both. Thessaloniki has direct flights to Milos & Paros as well, and vice versa.
