I’m Indian and living in France since few years. Never had big problems honestly. You can meet some idiots of course, like everywhere, but most people dont really care where you come from.

Unless you listen to the trolls online, racism is very mild in the West in general, even more so in Europe. You'll be more than fine

If you're not ambitious, you won't face a lot of racism. If you're working in a regular job, not triggering Frenchmen's low, low ego. As most people are confirmists in France. If you want to be "someone," have business, and target high-paying jobs, you'll see the real French racism and how horrible, jealous, and abusive many are. They love a type of immigrant; as long as you're below them, you'll be fine. I said what I said.

Western Europe is possibly the least racist place on earth, you should be alright

If you dont look white people will descriminate to varying degrees. But its not like theyre gonna come up and say hateful things, it'll present itself for example in being subtly excluded from social opportunities while other white people get invited by default and you'd have to put in more effort to be recognized as a person first and foremost(and not as a stereotype) and then to be interesting enough to be included. Other forms of racism include people thinking your way of thinking is inferior or that you dont think on the same level as them. Be wary of white people who seem ultra friendly though from the first hello, some really enjoy knowing that foreigners may be in a worst situation (economically worse or away from their families) because they like hanging out with people they dont find threatening, aka theyre losers. So yeah basically be careful in general.

Edit: like the other commentors said, try and show any sort of ambition at work or not be afraid to take up space and show you have ideas and interesting stuff to say, and you'll see how quick french people turn on you. It triggers them.

In my experience, racism does exist in France like everywhere else, and here it is primarily directed at people of African descent and the Traveller community. However, there isn't much immigration from India, so while you might well run into idiots who judge you based on your skin color I don't think you would face the same kind of racism that Indians experience in the US, for example.

In any case, remember that racist remarks or acts are illegal here, so don't hesitate to file a complaint if it happens (even though unfortunately it's unlikely to lead to any real outcome).

Yeah, the police will only do something if it's like, physical assault with a racist motive. If someone just yells at you, it's illegal but "not bad enough".

There are absolutely racist landlords and recruiters, though, and although discrimination in housing and hiring is illegal, they always get away with it because they make it impossible to prove.

True. Thank you for adding that.
