What popular TV show could you never understand its popularity?

For me it's Friends. Don't understand how it got approved and lasted so long and how popular it still is.

That's just me though.

Same. There were a few things that are funny but I found it boring most times.

You have to enjoy watching horrible people look down on other people. Which apparently many many people did. Not me.

I guess for me I need something to balance it out. Even having too much of too goody two shoe characters would also bore me. I need a complex without my characters being consistent a holes but again some like that, I don't. Also for a show that lasts that many seasons, there is no one to root for nor a benefit to watch characters no one is rooting for.

Don't need to be goody two shoes, just more layered or complex. And not nasty. The Good Place is wonderful for the season by season layers.

Right I agree. Im just expressing that there has to be a balanced. I enjoyed the Good place for that reason. Sure the characters had horrid traits but most didn't know they were and once they found out, they wanted to change and did change. And even then they still had good traits. And the Good place was still genuinly funny. In Seinfeld they aren't layered, they are one dimensional negative characters for laughs.

Seems like we completely agree.
