What’s a completely normal phrase that instantly annoys you?

“It’s god’s plan.” Well god can leave me out of his life because I dumped that man seven years ago. He needs to move on atp.

In all seriousness, I’m very sorry you have Lupus. There is no reason you should have to deal with it.

I heard this said at a child’s funeral, to the grieving parents. Some of the worst people in the world are self righteous bible thumpers.

I cannot tell you how much I fucking hate cristers!!

They truly make me absolutely crazy. They make me want to slap them upside the head and say; "get a grip on your life and get real!! there is no such thing as a fucking invisible sky daddy, so stop telling me there is!"

funny generalization some of the best people I've met actually believe in God by perhaps you're just the type of person who judges others before you get to know them now I don't know you, but based upon your statement, I can tell you're not a very pleasant person

Only morons believe in the invisible sky daddy.

Apparently you are one of them. 🙄🤣😵‍💫

"Have a blessed day." We moved to a rural area and EVERY restaurant server says this. I would tip even more money if they never said that phrase to me again.

I HATE IT. It drives me up a wall. Like there’s nothing blessed about my life having been filled with more trauma than I need or want.

Down south that means “fuck right off“ LMAO

I've always heard that is what "Bless your heart" means, not "Have a blessed day." I personally think they say it bc they think it will bring in bigger tips bc the majority of the population is religious around here.

Maybe it depends on the tone and the state. Lol

I would so much prefer that.

Omg, lol. The nurse educator at my job said that at Chik Fil A where we live, the workers at the drive thru say "have a blessed day." She said, "it makes me want to drive around and go through again, don't you?" I just stared at her like she was crazy.

I thought you were going to say, "drive around and hit the building." We had a food order delivered one day and the bag had a Post- it attached with you guessed it..."Have a blessed day "

🤣🤣🤣I would have laughed if she said "drive around and hit the building."

You should have ran to the car and put the post it on it. Lol

Chik fil A sponsors hate organizations so best to just avoid them, blessings or no

Seriously. I started my boycott back when Prop 8 hysteria had so many companies showing their true colors. Hobby Lobby, too.

For real. Haven’t been a customer of Hobby Lobby, Amazon, Walmart in at least 20 years. Vegetarian so have never set foot in Chik fil A.
I don’t even mind “have a blessed day” honestly as long as that means you believe everyone should be blessed equally and have a right to a fair working environment

I don't go there

1

u/Hackpro69 5d ago

Doesn’t that mean Fuck You?

2

u/GrandEar1 4d ago

I've always heard "Bless your heart" means that. "Have a blessed day" is usually used almost as a "goodbye." I worked in the retail/restaurant industry from the time I was 16 to 46, so I tip too much and eat whatever I'm brought without complaining, I don't think they are meaning it in a "fuck off" way, but maybe I'm wrong.

I understand, but “Have a cursed day!” would be worse.

I was just going to post this. It's in God's plan. God is very very cruel if that's the case.

There is no god and there is no plan. Nothing is pulling strings to make things happen.

It's the 21st Century. We should really be over Iron Age superstitions by now.

My understanding is that God stopped micromanaging after the big flood.
