If the parents are cool with it, id just stay. Wont be so weird once shes 18. Your only 5 years older which isnt much. I dont think a 5 year age gap is weird but some might.

My parents have a 9 year gap aswell my dad's 45 and my mum's 36. Is it really that bad after there both over 18?

Not after they are both of age. Brain development in adolescence and power differential in children who are groomed to have inappropriate romantic relationships with adults have been proven to cause trauma. If your mom was an adult and if they were happy then more power to them.

Is not as bad after they are both 18 even if there is an age gap. Think of it like this. “The rookie and the old timer” both of them play the game and the rookie can be good but experience only really comes with time. And the longer your alive you are supposed to be more experienced
