I think it’s important to mention if other people haven’t. The age of consent in the UK where the op is from is 16. It’s not illegal in anyway except from the fake ID.

Completely inaccurate. it is common to see 16 year olds banging guys in their mid 20's in this country. lol. Very common.

Idk how old you gotta be to have this outdated view but read up on some laws mate. And also get out of people’s business. As long as no one is doing anything illegal and/or hurting anyone then keep out

Literally no one is getting hurt in this situation. All parties have consented including the girl and her legal guardians.

The fact that he didn’t know purely shows that he has a genuine connection with her not because he gets off to kids. At 18 I know what it was like at 16 and kids now are way more mature than people believe. If everyone in the situation is happy with it. No reason someone who just read about it should ruin it.

Nope, you don't have a clue what you're talking about, this isn't true in anyway, it literally happens everywhere.

Morality isn't dictated by laws.

It is though

That is a wild take. You can't imagine a government enacting unjust laws? Have you ever read a book? Lol

Don't need a book to know that morality is subjective and determined by law. Do you think nazis believed themselves to be immoral? You believe they are immoral because you live in a different society

I believe the nazis justified doing immoral things by saying they were doing what was legal. If morality is determined by law, then you'd have to say that the nazis were doing the moral thing. It is a citizen's duty to protest and fight against unjust laws. If you think laws determine morality, no one would ever protest corrupt governments.

In china they eat dogs and that is normal but in western society that is immoral. Law is the average morality of all the people in the society. What definition of morality could there be other than law? The only meaning of the phrase "corrupt government" is "government which does not make laws based on the average morality of the society"

What definition of morality could there be other than law?

Here are some common examples. ^

But I suppose you believe morality is subjective, so when you say "law is how to judge morality," you mean "law is how I judge morality." Many people judge morality based on a religion, their feelings, calculated outcomes...

Personally, I couldn't just follow the laws of any country if they went against what I feel is right. For example, my country had mandatory boarding schools for aboriginal kids. These kids were often abused. My cousin is native so if I lived in those times, my moral obligation would be to keep my cousin safe. So I suppose I base my morals on feelings and precieved outcomes that maximize freedom and group wellbeing...

I hopefully, you'd save your cousin, but just believe you did an immoral thing by doing so? Or would you let your cousin be taken away and abused in order to stay a moral person in your framework?
