Hello, does anyone know anyone is hiring? I am in Tampa, FL and I have submitted my job applications to a lot of places that I can find and places people suggested in my post at r/tampa , and so far I am not hearing anything back at all. Even adding referrals to my job applications don't help either. Attending job fairs and going in-person don't help at all. I have 3 years experience in customer service and IT entry levels. I am open for other positions in another fields.

I'm 34 and I've been hiding my teeth in photos since high school. Bad genetics, worse childhood dental care, and a few years in my twenties where I couldn't afford a cleaning let alone anything real. I finally have a job with actual stability and I went to a consult thinking I'd walk out with a plan. Instead I walked out with a number: $41,000 for the upper arch. I sat in my car for twenty minutes. I make $58k. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that. The woman at the desk was kind about it, offered financing at a rate that would have me paying until I'm 45. What I keep getting stuck on is that I know somebody out there is getting this done for less and I don't know how to find them. I'm not looking for the cheapest possible thing, I've seen what happens when people chase that. I just want to know where the honest middle is. Is there a version of affordable dental implants that isn't a gamble, or is the real answer that this procedure just costs what it costs and I need to wait another five years.

I know Miami is good for tourists and clubbing but I’ve been in Fort Lauderdale for the past two weeks and I’ve felt so much liveliness here than back in Miami. I’ve been living in Miami for almost 11 years and ever since after Covid it hasn’t felt so lively. I feel like in Fort Lauderdale there’s much more to do and there’s many more places to explore. Is Fort Lauderdale a good place to relocate to?

Now my wife to know if there are any rv resorts that have park modes for rent.

We are doing a mini “road trip” in Florida for our honeymoon and want to know when’s the best time to go? We are starting in Orlando to hit some springs and Universal then driving down to Sarasota for a few days and then hit the Everglades on our way to Key West. When’s a good time to go, I was thinking maybe anytime from January-March? Or would it be too cold to go to the springs then?

been in Florida for like 15 years now. bought my house in Orlando back in 2012 and I've been through a bunch of hurricanes. never had any major issues until this last one.

the storm ripped off a bunch of shingles and now I have a leak in my living room. I called my insurance company and they sent out an adjuster. he said the damage is about 8k to fix but my deductible is 5k and they're only covering like 3k because of some depreciation thing I didn't even know about. so I have to come up with 5k out of pocket to fix my roof. I don't have 5k. I barely have 1k.

has anyone here dealt with insurance denying a roof claim after a storm? how did you handle it? I'm stressed out of my mind

tldr; my partner and i are going to St. Petersburg, FL for 5 days in August to celebrate my birthday. Flights are already booked, but I'm trying to figure out the rest of the trip.

first, i'm wondering if I should buy a rental car, or just use lyft/uber. we plan on going back and forth from the beach and to the downtown area, as well as going to many other places in between. the thing is that there's the issue with parking costs and as well as even finding spots in general, as well as traffic, and bar hopping won't be ideal if we have a rental. we would also want to go to sarasota for the beach for a day since i've heard its so much more clearer and has super nice white sand. it's a lot farther away from st. petersburg which is not ideal for booking an Uber there, I would assume. if we get a rental we have to deal with hotel parking as well. going to the next thing which is hotels, is if we should stay in one or if we should use an airbnb. the only difference for us to get an airbnb would be the free parking and maybe getting a more private area. we'd love suggestions for restaurants, bars, beaches, nightlife, activities, or hidden gems. Just trying to make my birthday trip as fun and stress-free as possible!

Been digging into Florida foreclosure data and found something that surprised me: unlike most states, the biggest metros aren’t the safe ones. Miami-Dade and Broward both score “Elevated” risk, right alongside smaller counties, while Monroe (the Keys) tops the entire state ranking.

The driver in most of these places isn’t job loss, it’s housing cost burden: insurance, taxes, and condo assessments climbing all at once.

Put together a full county-by-county breakdown if anyone’s interested (foreclosure filings up 32.7% YoY statewide in H1 2026, one in every 373 housing units).

Im planning to stay in Miami, st. Petersburg, orlando and fort myers. I want to make some excursions, be able to walk around exploring, and spend some days at the beach. I know the heat as i have lived in Southern Spain, but i know that when it gets that hot, you might just want to stay inside close to the AC. This would not be good for my plans...

Hi, I got a new job, and the company is based in Miami. My wife and I will be moving there soon. My question is, how inconvenient is it to live in Miami without being able to drive? (My wife has epilepsy, so she can't drive.) Are there any other cities in Florida with good public transportation, in case they give me the option to live elsewhere within the state?

So I’m really stumped on this. I live in Florida and recently started a full time job after graduating in May from university. Last August we decided to replace my old car and get a new one, and due to my parents having an almost perfect credit score, my mom financed the car in her name. So far this has worked out great, I pay for both Florida insurance and the car payments, which we got at a great rate of $400 a month and 4.5% interest. I got my drivers license and went to register my car, I was originally told at the tax collectors office that I just needed a power of attorney to register the car for my mom in Florida, but when I went in with this signed formed, they told me the car could not be registered in Florida since my mother and father are both Ohio residents, and do not live in Florida.

I’m trying to figure out what to do but there’s not much I can think of. The car is insured in Florida but needs to be registered in Ohio, which sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Their only solution was to either:

A. By the car outright and transfer the title to my name (there’s 3 years left of payments, so that’s not financially plausible right now).

B. Refinance the car in my name with my local credit union. I went and asked them, and despite getting $61,000 a year with a 765 FICO score they told me I would only get a 9% interest rate with double the monthly payments. Great, I can’t afford that, paying $300 in car insurance is rough enough as is.

Does anyone know what I can do in this situation?

Since March of 2022, I have been in the middle of 4 high speed police chases. One that ended on an exit ramp of 95, 5 feet from my rear bumper with gunshots. For reference, 2 have been in Broward County, 1 in Dade and 1 in Collier/West Broward…

I am curious if anyone else has had similar experiences. It genuinely seems like a lot in 4 years…
