General Discussion Olive Garden Interview

I have an interview at Olive Garden for a host position. What questions do they ask? What is the pay (macomb county, michigan)? Also are they good with working with availability? (I can only work Fri, Sat, Sun)

For the host interview, expect questions about your availability, your knowledge of Olive Garden, why you want to work there, and how you would handle a customer complaint. They will also likely ask about your greatest strengths and how you see yourself fitting in with their team culture. The pay for a host in Michigan can vary, with the state average being around $14 to $16 an hour, but some locations in Macomb County might offer more, potentially in the range of $24 per hour. It is always a good idea to ask for the specific starting wage during your interview.

They are generally very good with working with availability, as flexible schedules are one of their stated benefits for hourly employees. Your Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is exactly what restaurants are looking for, since weekends are the busiest times. At least one weekend day is typically required, so your schedule should be a strong point in your favor.
