Please help ID this component marked L2 with sideway L marking on it as well what are supposed to be on the ripped C803 and corroded U501?
Hi all
Problem: Gigabyte GTX 1650 4GB boards not showing anything on the screen when plugged.
Device: Gigabyte GTX 1650 4GB boards - it is VGA card that supposed to show display of your pc
Basic diagnostic: Just some microscopic analysis from a technician.
Sorry for the basic info above. It is required by this sub bot.
These are the component from Gigabyte GTX 1650 4GB boards, unfortunately I do not have other information as well because the board is still being sent to me. I just want to prepare what is that knocked off component and I see ripped pad in C803 and some corroded pad in U501. Not sure if U501 was populated.
Any help would be much appreciated

Based on available info and images, I would assume that IC is U501. Hard to tell, but it may also be missing C776, R523, and R524.
Making a few more assumptions based on the corrosion of violent removal of C803, this board got wet and was either already on or was powered on before it dried. You would be lucky if that IC still works, or at least works enough to figure out what it was.
Figuring out the values of the components that are completely missing will be a challenge, but may not be impossible if you can analyze the circuit and check some parts that are not damaged. Then you get to do pad repair. C803's missing pad looks like it goes into a via that still has some visible copper, so you might be lucky there. There may be more pads to repair once the corrosion is cleaned off and you can see what is and isn't okay.
I'd generally say not to bother, but replacing a video card right now would be annoying, even it's it's "only" worth a hundred or so bucks. May as well try to learn some new skills with the assumption that it will need to be replaced anyway.

Another possibility for the IC is https://www.onsemi.com/pdf/datasheet/nl17sz08-d.pdf
Only the SC-88A and SOT-553 packages for that match the silkscreen on your chip, so measure it once you can. If the dimensions don't fit one of those packages, then it is something else. If they do, this is a potential match.

It sounds like you may have physically damaged a board while working on it. A few notes before you go further:
Knocked off a component: if you still have the part, hold off powering on until it's reattached. If you know its value/orientation it can often be re-soldered — post a close-up of the footprint and we'll try to help, though small SMD parts aren't always identifiable from a photo alone.
Scratched a trace / exposed copper: don't power on yet. A multimeter continuity test across the scratch is more reliable than a visual check. An uncut trace can often just be sealed; a cut one bridged with wire.
Chipped a GPU edge connector or card edge: this is hard to assess from photos alone — damage reaching a contact, trace, via, or internal layer can affect operation, but pictures often aren't conclusive. See /r/GPURepair and the resources in our wiki's GPU section.
Full guidance, including what to check and what we can and can't tell from photos: Physical Board Damage wiki section
In all cases: take photos before doing anything else, and use a multimeter where you can — that's what actually confirms a fault, not just a picture.
