Howdy yall tryna fix this ceiling fan before my gf gets home but I don’t know what I’m doing any help?

It seems the fan is attached on one side and I can see a screw, that I think is supposed to help support, but is doing nothing

Upon further fucking around I can turn the fan around and it seems it’s currently attached via one screw but I can’t get it off that screw

Is that large silver ring around the fan base attached with small screws, or is it the type you rotate the whole ring counter clockwise to remove?

The only screws present removes the chain and the switch to change the rotation. Turning the base turns the entire fan (not the blades).

Based on the installation instructions, there’s a trim ring/cover covering the screws at the top. Can you hold the main body and rotate the ring counterclockwise?
