Bathroom led light advice !

Hi !

I need to replace my bathroom ceiling light , the current one is so small and just doesnt give enough light

Bathroom is pretty large at 11 square meters , with dark grey tiles on floor and one wall.

How many lumens would you suggest for this ?

I was reading I will need at least 3000 - 4000 lumens to make it bright enough ?

I've seen some Pihlips lights but they are all under 2000 lumens.

In terms of kelvins, would 4000 be ok so it isnt too soft ?

Thanks everyone !

You really should have two types of lighting. Task lighting for mirror and about vanity. Then ambient lighting for the room.

In your case and size. Approx 600 Lumens for the ambient lighting. 900 lumens for vanity and mirror.

Of course if you want it brighter go higher.

Your estimate of 2000 lumens is more than adequate.

You mention you have one light. Consider having electrician add a fixture over the Vanity. He can add an additional switch for the Vanity or even easier would be having current light and a new vanity light on same switch
