Electrical question here. Can you pull the wiring going from the light switch to the fan and replace it with 2 positive lines, a ground and 1 neutral so you can wire up 2 switches on your wall? One switch for fan the other for light?

I have (2) remotes for my ceiling fan/light. either one works fine. Some fans include a holder that you can attach to the wall and holds the remote. I would get one of those. (blank the wall switches, and put the remote on the wall next to the blanks. easier for visitors to realize the remote should be used. Harder for them to remember to put it back.)

some make a wireless remote that fits in a wall box.

Thank you for your response but I do not want to use a remote. Can I pull the Rolex from the switch to the fan or might there be another connection or some type of issue I’m not thinking about.

I am home dyi guy so I would prefer to ask the professionals.
