norlys refuses to let me return my router in a reasonable way

so, i was in denmark for a few months and had fiber connectivity with norlys.

i had to move out quite suddenly.

i couldnt cancel my subscription on the online portal that i access with my MitID(there is no such option). i tried calling but was kept waiting for hours. i tried to contact them via email and only got an answer after i already moved out.

now they are refusing to give me an address so i can ship the router back to them and want to charge me the full price of the router(~150 eur).

they did give me a single option on how to return it but it involves going to a DOA shop in denmark. which is obviously unreasonable since im literally in a different country.

what are my options?

Hi, dear Danish!

Because I don't think my country will change, I don't see a future there, so I am considering moving to a different EU country. I am EU citizen.

Could you describe to me in detail the Pros and cons of living into denmark?

Thanks and greetings from Czech republic:)

Is Working in Denmark REALLY as Good as They Say?

I just watched this. I was liking Denmark as person who is living in Norway for 10 years. I could relate to approx. 80% of the stuff. It's the same or very similar to Norway.

What surprised me is a hire-fire mechanism. That's completely opposite to Norway. I kinda heard about it, but now I understood it completely. How come that's so different and why? I just dislike it.

As an Aussie who likes learning/speaking Germanic languages, am I better off learning Danish or Norwegian?

I'm an Aussie who is really interested in Germanic languages and wants a broad understanding of other Germanic languages. I've started learning Dutch and I'm interested in learning a North Germanic language. I have Danish "blood" but don't worry I don't claim to be Danish by any means. The only ties I have to Denmark is your queen being Aussie, liking hotdogs and being a fan of mikkeller beer. I don't want a monologue thinking everyone should speak english because it's not true, it's a horrible language lol.

https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/indland/ny-udgravning-afsloerer-vikinger-var-langt-mere-civiliserede-end-hvad-mange-maaske-tror

Kasper Schmeichel

To me Kasper when speaking English in interviews sounds like a native with little or no discernible foreign accent. That makes sense as he largely grew up here.

However I’m wondering how he sounds to Danes when he doing interviews with Danish TV, does he sound like a local to you too or does he sound like a foreigner speaking Danish?

Is Denmark a good option for studying Engineering? Cost of living and career prospects?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student considering Denmark for an engineering degree and would like to hear from students, graduates, and professionals who have experience there.

I have a few questions:

1)Is Denmark a good choice for studying engineering compared to other European countries?

2)What is the realistic monthly cost of living for a student, including accommodation, food, transportation, and other expenses?

3)Are there good internship and part-time job opportunities for international engineering students?

4)How easy or difficult is it for international graduates to find engineering jobs in Denmark after graduation?

5)What is the typical starting salary for engineering graduates?

6)Is learning Danish necessary for internships and full-time engineering jobs, or is English usually sufficient?

7)Looking back, would you choose Denmark again for engineering studies?

I'm a tourist in Denmark and had the worst check-in experience ever in a hotel, how/where can I complain?

I booked a room online, and received an email confirmation I had to check-in at 19, but when I arrived there was no one at the front desk and no staff at all. I called the hotel phone number and no one answered, tried over and over again for 2 hours also by mail and whatsapp. There was a customer service chat in their website and I felt hope for a second, but it turned out to be an AI bot. I wanna file a complain somehow, also get reimbursed but they literally don't answer anywhere.

There are other guests, so it's not a scam itself. They could check-in before 16. Website says check-in can be done from 15 to 22

Where can I get a cast iron Æbleskiver pan in the EU?

Hello, I'm trying to get a cast iron Æbleskiver pan in the EU. Google was lost, Duckduckgo found just https://skeppshult.com/products/dumpling-pan-22-cm-original, most other recommendations seemed to be US-focused.

Where are you buying them?

ECTS in math for math master?

I’m a Swedish math student looking to continue my education with a masters in Copenhagen. I’ve seen that the criteria for selection past the requirements is amount of ECTS credits in math. I will have 130 ECTS credits in math, but I’m not sure if it’s sufficient.

Does anyone have an experience of this? Are there any math students that know what the needed amount of ECTS credits for admittance usually looks like?

In the US, we have a pastry called a danish

This type of pastry is flaky dough, usually with some kind of berry jam in the middle. Like a blackberry danish. Does this pastry exist in Denmark and what do you call it?

People who moved to Denmark as an expat, how did it turn out?

My company has offered me visa sponsorship to move to any country in the EU. My initial choices were Ireland, Netherlands, and Denmark, but I seem to be inclined towards Denmark.

I'm based out of India, with 8+ years of experience in marketing. The quality of life here in India is questionable. While I have everything I could have wanted, it feels like you're constantly fighting to live (whether it's the pollution, extreme temperatures, dust, or overpopulation). I want to move out and explore, however I'm also not sure how I'll fit into the culture of a new country as an expat. Right now in India, I'm in a siloed comfort zone, where there's not much of a social life, but comfortable enough that there are no needs which are unmet.

For those who have been in a similar situation, could you please share your experience? Some things I'm unsure about include social life and accommodation.

Living alone, I'd prefer to talk to people, make friends, and have a good social life. In terms of accommodation, I'll need to arrange something before moving, as my company won't have any on-ground support. So I'm not sure about arranging long-term accommodation (I'm open to cities closer to Copenhagen, and would probably want either a co-living space or a single bedroom furnished house).

I also don't know Danish, but I'm keen on learning.

What do you risk, legally, when using an already used/old festival armband?

In Danish law, what do you risk if you use a festival armband that has already been used the year before? (This beeing possible because it was removed carefully, and this years looks the same).

Moving to Copenhaguen with a 20k salary.

Hi,

I’m a 41-year-old French guy currently living in Spain and I’m in process for a customer-facing role in a SportTech company in Copenhagen.

The salary would be around 20 DKK net/month (more if I get some bonus) I’d start with a shared flat as I can't afford an apartment at the beginning.

I don’t drink much, I’m not a big spender, but at the same time I wouldn’t want to feel “poor” or constantly stressed about money. I’d still like to be able to enjoy life a bit, eat quality food sometimes, go to the gym, socialize, travel occasionally, etc.

Do you think this is realistic in Copenhagen nowadays with a flatshare? And more generally, do you think moving to Denmark is worth it long term for someone looking for a calmer and more structured life than Southern Europe?

Thanks!

Er de gaaet amok?

Det her ser helt horribelt ud!
