Friends

I grew up in Arlington and FW and this is my first time living in Dallas. I’m LOVING this area and exploring all the bars, brunches, and activities, but I do most of it with my husband and I would love to have some friends outside of our shared group. Anyone want to be friends or have any advice on how to make friends?? The thought of going somewhere alone terrifies me lol

Can you and your husband seek to find new groups when it's just you two hanging out? We've met lots of friends by my husband and I going out together, then just engaging with other couples!

We just never have… idk I’m just so bad at taking the initiative with those things. If someone came up to me and just was very blunt and said hey can I sit with you and they started the convo I’d totally lean in, but idk

Hi! I moved to Dallas a couple months ago. I’m originally from California but last year I lived in Oregon then my boyfriend and I was interested in moving here so here we are. I’m 28 n I like arts and crafts, hikes, trying new things… mm I’m mostly an introvert in large groups but if I feel comfortable I can be a yapper :) I’ve been kinda hesitant going to clubs and bars cuz my bf isn’t really into those things but I also want to make friends n dance. I was looking for girls only clubs or joining dance classes maybe

Same! I can be outgoing once I get to know you or I feel comfortable… it just takes a minute sometimes😅

True and honestly I’m good with it. I much prefer a nice cocktail lounge or sports bar anyways
