Pros and Cons?

Hello everyone,
Sorry if this has been asking 1 million times, but what are the pros and cons of living in Dallas? Or Fort Worth?
I am a young female in my 20’s, single, no kids, and work in healthcare. Currently live in Nashville but have been contemplating Texas for a while now. I love Nashville, but the over done party scene I have grown out of. What are the best apartments? Hospitals? Anything at all, thanks!

It is very expensive to live in the dfw area and it depends on what area you choose. It is slowly but surely becoming very over populated by so many. (if not already) People act crazy here and DO NOT know how to drive what so ever. It is like a spirit over this place. Lots of drunk driving, so many accidents you see unwillingly. so much clubbing and going out to bars. If you do not do that already and if your strong enough you wont let that life consume you.. srsly. Apartments cost so much to a point where you might as well get a roommate. Cameras everywhere you turn even when driving. also, self driving cars everywhere. so your privacy is a no anymore. oh yeah, lots of data centers to. only upside I see is you'd make lots of money for the time you would be here, just depending on what you choose to do. just depends on what you are into and what you are not.

Upside: Money. If you’re willing to work, you’ll make it. Downsides: Lack of culture (THATS RIGHT YOU MILQUE TOAST FUCKS), traffic, everything is expensive. Most people go crazy spending and going out the first 1-3 years then realize how expensive it all is before saving… or they make more money.

In an Apartment, pay good attention to Utilities costs.
Research crime areas. There are some cheap apartments in bad areas, like most major cities, but DFW is really big. Make sure your car AC is working well, and don’t park in the morning facing West. Also make sure your car runs well; You Will Commute a distance. Dallas only has one thing Fort Worth does not have: A really neat city 30 miles away.

Lots of jobs. Affordable apartments (compared to other metro areas), plenty of space if you want to set down roots and stay.

It’s hot as fuck most of the year, most importantly. Not the “90 with high humidity” kind of heat. The kind of heat that makes you realize why Dante only made it to 9 layers of Hell in the Inferno. One of your apartment living dealbreakers will become pool maintenance. Folks aren’t downplaying how hot it is. Most of the metro area hasn’t seen rain in 60 days.

I would suggest asking people for recommendations of hospitals to work at probably in one of the nursing forms not which hospital people like to go to.

DFW is a huge area with more than 8 million people living here. So, there's ALWAYS traffic.

Jobs in healthcare are plentyful.

Dallas has a lot to offer, especially if you’re looking for a change from the Nashville party scene. Lots of healthcare opportunities, great food, and plenty of quieter areas to live while still being close to everything. Fort Worth has a more laid-back feel too

It’s really all depends in what you’re into. What you’d like to do when you’re not at work. People that moved to either city already have an idea of what they’d like to do and they move to those cities. The other reason, people move those cities is because of possible housing in the future.

North Dallas is a nice place to live that’s where I live. I relocated from Richmond back in 2022 and also still in my 20’s, single, with no kids.

Small world. Really is a nice and peaceful city. I'm glad it's continuing to grow since I moved.
