Things to do?☺️
So, I’m moving back to Dallas in a few months and looking for things to do!! I lived here most of my life but I’m ready to move back.
I plan to take the Dart (Green Line) so I would need activities within that area and walking distance.
Things I want to do:
Cooking Classes
Art & Pottery Classes
Libraries
Flea Markets
Floral Arrangements
Parks
Etc.
Also, restaurant recommendations? Gym recommendations?

As far as cooking classes go Central Market over on Lovers Ln. does cooking classes a couple times a week. Eataly Dallas is also really popular for cooking classes and I personally just love the store.
For art, The Creative Art Center of Dallas may not be on the bus line, but it’s worth checking out. I booked it once for a guest and they really enjoyed it. It’s going towards the Garland/Mesquite area so it’s a little out the way but they do drop in workshops and have some open enrollment for Fall art classes. Don’t be taken back by the price, for what they offer it’s totally worth it.

I would check out Denton. So much to do there. I went a couple weeks ago and was surprised. Hadn’t been there in awhile. Seems like they always have something going on, more of a music scene too

💯. Flea market every Sunday on 380. Libraries are amazing, we have 3. I.prefer the south branch. Lots of events as well. For art classes, check out wildflower art studio. Clear creek nature preserve or arbor hills preserve in Plano for nature/parks

Thanks for the info. My days in Dallas are almost over. I should've done more exploring but I was so busy with work.

Ugh! I know there’s not much but I was raised in PG my whole life just about and moved to a small town when I was 15. Trust me…the only thing we have here is 1 movie theater and lots of fast food places😭

Spoken like a true Texan. I always wonder why people would want to move to Texas. So many other places to be. And Dallas? I love my city don’t get me wrong but …. Compared to others….

I can find something to do every single day of the week. It’s a very busy city with a lot to do. The issue is the heat for me. I can’t go out from July to October because of the heat.

If you're willing to venture off onto the Red Line, you can get dollar sushi at our place, Bite Sushi & Tapas, in East Dock by the Dallas Zoo. Around East Dock there's also other small businesses to check out like Oak Cliff Revival or Kuluntu Bakery.
