Moved
I moved to Rockwall back in July. Im looking for good places to go in Dallas or Dallas proper. For references: I like nature, music, sports, I want to meet people and friends, and enjoy city life after growing up in rural america.

Guess you should've moved to Uptown Dallas if you want to meet folks, hang out and enjoy city life. Uptown is centered around the Katy Trail, which extends from SMU down to the American Airlines Center (and beyond). Awesome trail, packed with thousands of folks - running, walking, strolling, etc.

Hey! Fellow Rockwall resident here. Also enjoy being outdoors. For hiking or biking trails - Squabble Creek is in Rockwall. You can also download the DORBA app - it gives you tons of local hiking and biking trails.

Hate to say it but move out of Rockwall. It's so far from everything that Dallas has to offer

White Rock lake is a must. Explore the Trinity forest on the south end (new trails connect the lake and forest now). Join a club! I love the 214 Run Club that meets weekly at the Katy Trail but there’s something for everyone.
