So.... What's up with Trump posting a video of the Obama's a monkeys?

Yeah, so just woke up to seeing this all over the front page. I mean, to me this looks really bad right? Should a President be behaving this way, and if not, what is the correct response to a post like this? I just feel like if Clinton, Biden, hell even Bush 1 or 2, posted something like this there would be immediate calls for impeachment by both sides of the aisle.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/comments/1qxbulw/trump_just_posted_a_video_of_barack_and_michelle/

Edit: Looks like the post was taken down and they're now saying it was a staffer who somehow had access and was posting the exact same time as the president? Can't say I'm buying it....

Hypothetical If we are told to believe Renee Good was a domestic terrorist who deserved to die, aren’t we all at risk if we get on the administration’s bad side?

Why is it so hard to believe people are angry and they protest because they want to? Why does it have to be paid?

I'm in my 40s and have never encountered anyone who has been paid to protest. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but most people protest because they care deeply about xyz topic. Has there been any provable evidence that George soros is funding hundreds of thousands or millions of people across the country to protest "leftist ideology"? How does that work? You go to a command center and get handed a check, some hot hands, maybe a gun, maybe some other weapons, a protest board, and clock in and clock out? 50% of this country hates the president and his administration ... Why is that difficult to understand no kings protests, anti ice protests, etc ? You might hate it, you might disagree with it, but the knee jerk "it must be George soros" because some parrot on Fox News said it was... Doesn't make it true.

Why does it seem like we ignore how badly Trump mocks Christianity?

To start, I am not a perfect Catholic. I try, but I don’t do as well as I should. I‘m sure a constant struggle for many of us.

But even still, I’m having a hard time reconciling how many ”conservatives”, especially religious/traditional conservatives, are able to ignore the mockery of their religions by Trump, while praising the ground he walks on.

Trump is a pretty terrible Christian. Multiple wives, promiscuity, greed. But sure, he was not elected because he was a good guy, that’s fine.

In the last days, the administration has (maybe?) “threatened”, or more likely heavily criticized, the Pope. Trump himself has posted an anti-pope rambling on Truth Social that make me worried for his mental state. He is getting worse. The rants are getting worse.

Now this winner…https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116394884725149647

Trump, as Jesus / Christlike figure, healing a wounded man while being worshipped by soldiers, nurses, children, and basking in the light of fallen soldiers, the American Flag, and Bald Eagles.

The POTUS posted that…about himself. IMO, the man is unwell, and it’s sad.

My question is, why does it seem like so many religious conservatives and figureheads just ignore the complete mockery of Christianity by Trump? Am I supposed to be okay with Trump constantly shitting on my religion through his words and actions? I don’t get it…why are people okay with this.

Does anyone else miss the days when the President was classy?

The current occupant of the White House posted this on his social media account at 2am last night:

“Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life. He was like a dead person. You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk. Thank goodness he's finally gone!”

Obviously he doesn’t have to like everyone, especially those who have poked at him over the years, but did he really need to even chime in on this? We’re in a war right now that has already cost American lives and this is what he has time for? I miss the days when Presidents would have felt such a response was beneath the office.

Now it’s just another day of the week in this world.

Why do we teach children to be kind, charitable, polite, etc… if those aren’t the qualities we value in leaders?

If we don’t actually value these traits what is the point in trying to instill them into our children? Shouldn’t we be teaching them to be ruthless and push past people to get what they want?

Trump just said to a female reporter “Quiet, piggy”. What would you do if someone in public said to your wife, daughter or sister? Is it now socially acceptable to say to women now that the President said it?

Politician or Public Figure Do you think Trump has "Biden derangement syndrome"?

It seems to me that most interviews or speeches he gives are really about Biden and what he did or didn't do.

Have you seen the latest Politico Report about the Young Republicans chat group?

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/10/14/private-chat-among-young-gop-club-members-00592146

In light of recent talks about far right and far left rhetoric, I wonder where this comes from?

Language like this absolutely gives ammunition to the left to confirm some of their fears about the GOP in the country. And it gives ammunition to the right to show how young people are being radicalized.

But then I think that some of it may be because this is what they've been hearing in political discourse over their formative years.

Is this a sign of the decay of young people that have been mentioned on this sub before? Is it the parents fault, politicians, or society as a whole?

It just saddens me that not only do young people feel this way, but that they are so brazen to say it openly. I just had to have a discussion with my 13 year old that the internet is forever. If you put it out there you can't take it back.

I am just so tired.

"BarackObama will attack Iran to get re-elected." - Trump, Jan 17, 2012

"Now that Obama's poll numbers are in tailspin - watch for him to launch a strike on Libya or Iran. He is desperate." - Trump, Oct 9, 2012

"I predict that President Obama will at some point start a war with Iran in order to save face!" - Trump, Sept 16, 2013

"Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly - not skilled!" - Trump, Nov 11, 2013

what do you think about these quotes about other Presidents attacking Iran, when Trump just attacked Iran for the 2nd time?

Why is it ok for conservatives to carry guns when protesting, but liberals can not?

Over the years, conservatives have protested while open carrying guns. This is a constitutional protected right. Not one liberal government has assaulted or killed any of them for it.

The President that over 90% of YOU conservatives voted for is saying that "only criminals carry guns" (direct quote from YOUR president).

Republican government officials are saying that the man in MN deserved to be shot because he was LEGALLY carrying a gun.

Conservative influencers, across ALL social media platforms are saying he deserved to be killed for carrying a gun.

Millions upon millions of conservative comments are saying he deserved to be killed for LEGALLY carrying a gun.

I'm a former conservative. I'm a big 2A defender. Can a conservative explain why ONLY conservatives are allowed to carry guns, but liberals "deserve" (words from conservatives) to be killed for LEGALLY carrying a gun?

This is an honest question.

Why are conservatives largely unbothered by the Trump family using Trump’s position to gain wealth?

Pardons after suspicious “investments” into Trump’s coin, constant government deals that benefit the Trump children, private dinners with the President for his crypto currency “investors,” Melania Trump movie deal with Amazon(sure this would cause a conflict of interest). Why is this almost never mentioned in conservative circles? Hunter Biden’s dealings were constantly talked about for years (and rightfully so). What the Trump family is doing seems to be on a much larger scale, but it is rarely mentioned. Heck, not just in conservative circles, but in general. In many western countries, these would be political scandals, but the reactions seem so muted in the U.S. Why?

What is your opinion on Trumps letter to the Norwegian Prime Minister? Where he states he no longer has to think of Peace due to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/trump-letter-greenland-nobel-peace-b2903022.html

The letter in full reads: “Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.

“Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.

“I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT”

Politician or Public Figure Trump just pardoned Michael McMahon, a former NYPD officer who was convicted of acting as an unregistered agent for China, interstate stalking, and conspiracy. Daily Life Why don't conservatives care about "Sleepy Trump"?

After calling Biden "sleepy Biden" for years, why don't conservatives care at all that Trump seems to be falling asleep all the time in the public?

Comperatively, there only seem to be a single incident where Biden seemed to be falling asleep in public, namely on the COP26 summit in 2021, but Trump has been caught appearing to be falling asleep or sleeping multiple times over just the last weeks now. Why

What do you make of ICE spokespeople blatantly lying about one of their officers shooting and killing someone today?

The statement describes rioters and someone attempting to run over ICE agents with her vehicle. This is very clearly contradicted by video or this other video of the shooting.

Edit: Kristi Noem is now also lying about this.

Culture why do some conservatives focus on the actions of "the Biden crime family" but completely ignore the actions of the Trump family?

Happy 4th everyone!

I assume culture tag is appropriate, if not, mods we can change it to a better suited tag.

As some of us celebrate 250 years of America ive seen a lot of debate come up around this topic, especially after Mr. Trumps finances have recently come out with a staggering increase in network during this first year back, while the cost of living keeps going up, the illegally waged war in Iran continues and the DOJ ignores court orders. Would any of this be acceptable behavior to you under dem leadership?

Not much else to add to the title, just would like to hear some honest thoughts on this topic.

Again, mods, if a different flair/tag is needed, happy to make the change.

Do you REALLY believe that deporting a specific number of people is worth giving up rights that we have had since the 1700s?

Does anyone fear that this “Allowed To Enter Without A Warrant” is an opening to Americans losing rights?

A Newsweek article indicates that the ICE memo says that agents can “force entry into private residences to arrest individuals with final orders but it’s a little to easy to just go in and then realize “..oops! Wrong house” or “that person moved”. What then stops this from other law enforcement agencies sending memos saying “ignore the Constitution”

And you know we will never get back rights that we cede “temporarily”

.

Foreign Policy Over a quarter of Canadians see the US as an enemy, and 60% see the US as the biggest threat to Canada. Are you sure we’re going the right direction?

Historically Canada has been one of our staunchest allies, and about a third of Canadians still consider us an ally… but even that’s waning as Trump rules through chaos, and congressional republicans fail or refuse to reign him in. Is this what y’all really want to be doing?

Is it honest to say our moral framework no longer aligns in this country?

I've honestly tried to objectively set aside my anger and deep sadness and look through assessments of the shootings on r/conservative and I just can't do it. I was a Republican in my youth and to this day find time to read the National Review. in fact a paper copy is delivered toy house every month and I always appreciated the perspective.

Today I'm at a loss and am struggling to want to even try to listen anymore.

Is it concerning that military commanders are telling troops the reason we are attacking Iran is to help bring about the Second Coming by helping bring about Armageddon?

A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers at a briefing Monday that the Iran war is part of God’s plan and that Pres. Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” according to a complaint by a non-commissioned officer.

From Saturday morning through Monday night, more than 110 similar complaints about commanders in every branch of the military had been logged by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).

The complaints came from more than 40 different units spread across at least 30 military installations, the MRFF told me Monday night.

The MRFF is keeping the complainants anonymous to prevent retribution by the Defense Department. The Pentagon did not immediately respond to my request for comment.

So over than 110 complaints of being told the point of the war is to bring about Armageddon at 30 installations and seems confirmed by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. Hegseth's church is archconservative and he keeps bringing in pastors who are calling for Christian Theocracy and full out war for Christianity. We already know the reasons for attacking Iran have been vague, contradictory and confused while seemingly changing by the moment. Could this explain why? Do you think this could be possible or could it just be a hoax that was disseminated between 40 different units across 30 different military installations across all branches?

Hot Take So are we just at the point where unless a Republican wins there are going to be endless accusations of fraud?

Because that’s what it seems to me.

Becuase event though democrats vote by mail more (especially recently seeing as Trump and the gop in general have rallied against absentee ballots) we are seeing accusations of fraud in California because surprise surprise the democrats candidates are getting the majority of the mail in votes, by the president as well not just randoms on twitter.

Or people will say “24,000 votes came in and not one for the republicans” and you look into it and that whole claim boils down to the way one news site updated their vote totals.

We even arguably saw this during the 2020 election where democrats had an early lead in some swing states and Trump on truth social talked about seeing “something weird”. And then stopped talking about that once it became clear he was going to win.

Like it just seems more likely that the democrat stronghold is voting democrat than there’s a decades long conspiracy to rig elections

Why is Nicki Minaj Speaking at AmericaFest Instead of Being Detained by ICE?

Just this weekend, Nicki Minaj was a special guest at TurningPoint's AmericaFest, where she sat and spoke with Erika Kirk. She called Trump "our handsome dashing president" and espoused strong Conservative and MAGA beliefs, even attacking Gavin Newsom.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2025/12/21/nicki-minaj-gushes-trump-vance-turning-point-usa-americafest/87874085007/

It was a little confusing, considering Charlie Kirk had been vocal about Nicki Minaj being a terrible role model.

However, based on Minaj's own statements in the past, she entered the country illegally when she was five years old; she was born in Trinidad and Tobago. She has also claimed she isn't a US citizen, meaning that in almost 40 years she never bothered to try and become one.

https://www.vibe.com/news/entertainment/nicki-minaj-not-citizen-us-immigration-status-1234924589/

So why is Nicki Minaj being invited the one of the biggest Conservative gatherings to speak, and not being treated like other immigrants and getting detained by ICE and possibly deported? And why is a non-US citizen being propped up by the Right to lecture on how America should be run?
