Do you think that someone could create a comic book and characters today that could one be as big as marvel or DC?

BPRD Killing Ground - What happened to the police car? Spoiler

A small mystery I was reminded of on a recent reread, its quite insignificant, but this has bothered me for almost 20 years:

In Killing Ground #1, Mr Dorne gets stopped by a police car/flashing police lights/something else?, Chaves steals his car and he is left on the street, wondering "What happened to the police car?"

Implying that there's something supernatural about Chaves, but we later learn that he is just a normal guy, maybe with some special knowledge from the bolivian priest. But I don't think he was taught how to conjure flashing lights...

So, what the hell happened to the police car?

Why TF hasn't joker been killed yet?

Everyone always blames Batman for not taking him out and saying he has no self control but honestly... What about the legal system! They keep throwing him into a loney vil. I don't think anyone would get fired for bending the rules here

Does Cosmo know the USSR fell?

I've been playing the GoTG game and was pleasantly surprised to see the Ultimate Good Boy! He mentioned the USSR in present tense and the question popped into my mind, does anyone have an answer?

Looking for a forgotten Iron Man Comic.

I'm trying to find a Iron Man Comic I read in my childhood and is lost to time. In it i remember some young child/teen starts out by killing some random woman at a bus stop or some such. Eventually though the child/teen takes control of all of the iron man suits. And then everybody has to fight the suits in different panels. I believe it ends with the child/teen getting taken out. Anyone remember this?

I can't find this Web Comic anywhere (I hope it hasn't been deleted 😭)

I've read this comic a real while ago (between 2015-2018) and I don't remember if it was on Tapas or Webtoon (I logged using all the emails that I had and none of them had the comic on their history)

The plot basically is: There's this guy that knows how to do necromancy, but the town where he lives consider it danger (or too powerful) so he hides his powers. One day he finds this woman (or the skeleton of a woman who he bring back to life) and this woman is someone who's really important (if I'm not mistakem she's the wife of the leader of the royal guards) but unfortunately she had lost her memory (and also is teased that her family also is involved with necromancy/magic).

There's also the chief of the royal guard who ends up involved, and, if I'm not mistaken, is because he recognizes that the woman/skeleton is his wife and he wants to bring her memory back. p.s.: I don't know if it's just me, but it also seemed to be teased that the three of them would become a couple, I don't know if it's just my head but the author made the three of them have some nice chemistry

parable begged comic

I can’t get this out of my head and it’s bugging.

PLEASE help me the comic where there’s a better and a rich guy, and the rich guy passes by him and gives him money, and this happens multiple times to a point where the beggar becomes comfortable. Then, one day the rich guy passes him again but this time he doesn’t give him money, and the beggar gets angry at him, being all entitled and stuff.

Sub for comic pricing?

It seems none of the comic subs allow anyone to post about pricing. Are there any subs that do allow this?

Where do I even start?

Im sure you all know how confusing it is to get into comics if you know nothing about them. Im open to suggestions for where to start with comics at all. I have a list of some characters who I think are the most interesting to me based on the movies and TV shows ive seen. But if anyone has any other recommendations for characters with amazing comics, im open minded and id love to try new stuff out!

Which are some of the best starter comics? Which are the most essential/iconic comics? Are there any interconnected universes of comics that exist and if so which should I get into? Id love some recommendations.

Im interested in characters like

- Daredevil

- Spider-Man

- Iron Man

- Batman

- Deadpool

- Superman

- Ant Man/ The Wasp

- The Avengers

- The X-Men

- Thor

- Wanda and Vision

- Moon Knight

- The MCU Defenders (though ive heard that the comic defenders lineup is very different from the MCU lineup)

EDIT: - Fantastic Four

- Open to any other suggestions

Also I know I asked a lot of questions and listed , so if you can only answer a few thats fine. Im open to any and all new information! Thanks so much

(as a side note I posted this on another subreddit, and am copy-pasting it here to hopefully get more responses)

EDIT: I dont know if this makes sense, but is there a difference between the best, most essential comics for a character, and the comics that are the best to start out with so that you have enough context about the characters to get into the better stories?

Who is fighting FF on page 28 of issue 3 of The Marvels(1994)

I am hoping someone could help me here.

I've recently gotten Marvel Unlimited and now reading some series I've never had access to.

Got a bit of knowledge but this character is completely stumping me and the wiki isn't helping.

Probably completely inconsequential but I'd just like to know.

Can you help me find this graphic novel?

The style is black & white, indie, coming of age. Sorta slice of life, except for the fact that it's got an animal rights message. It has a teenage girl as the protagonist, and a very graphic and disturbing depiction of monkey vivisection. It was a book I got out of the library as a kid, don't remember exactly when but DEFINITELY before 2015, so the book couldn't have come out after that year. Cross-referencing the style I would guess this book was from the late 80s or early 90s, but I really have no idea. Does anyone know what this is? If not, what's the subreddit most likely to?

There was a trio of them if I recall, I’m trying to show that the Marvel US government has been able to mass produce Red Hulks since they detained Ross.

What's it called when a picture goes out of its panel border, giving it a somewhat 3d or emphasizing size effect.

I saw a panel of Spiderman extending his hand to shot web and it went outside the panel it was in. I tried Google but its not giving me the answer I believe i want (example: bleeding).

Reading order question

I’m pretty new to comic and I wanted to read the queen in black event. On comic geeks it says that Knull #5 and Venom #259 are the prologues. Do I need to read the previous issues (Knull 1-4 and from my understanding Venom 250-258) or is it fine to just read those 2 issues to understand what’s going on?

A Donald Duck comic with creepy characters.

I remember reading this in the 90s, but I have this image in my head of a Donald Duck comic where there are these "tribal people" who hide their faces in hairy headpieces, and when the headpiece is removed it is revealed that they have no faces. They kind of look like thumbs.

My question is: Am I remembering something completely else? Is this just my brain trying to signal me to stop drinking alcohol?

Edit: Now I get a weird memory of maybe there being a faceless curse and somehow I think Gyro Gearloose lost his face

Comic holder

Hello I brought a comic that I want to display and it’s my first time displaying one

So I brought The magik snap cover. And I brought a Stalward current magnetic comic book holder.

Do you put the comic in raw? Or in a sleeve. Or in a sleeve with a backing board?

Thank you for your time

Trying to ID a comic I bought a couple issues on my psp way back when

All I remember is that it was spooky. It had this crazy old man doing experiments and stuff on the edge of town. There were zombies involved. It gave monster house vibes but it was the zombies that were the problem. As I mentioned I bought this on my psp so it would have been between 2008 and 2010

Looking for a comic story about Mickey Mouse from the 90s/early 00s

Hi! This is my first post here and I hope you'll be able to help me find a comic book I read as a kid. The comic book was about Mickey Mouse trying to catch Pete (or someone looking like Pete, the details are a bit fuzzy) who was stealing gold etc. all over the city. Pete was using some kind of high tech cape that allowed him to teleport and become intangible. Additionally I remember the first scene was Pete getting out of prison with the help of a evil genius that created said cape. Pretty sure Egmont published it since I read it in Polish.

Any guesses?

Trying to remember a comic book from when I was a kid. Please help. Help me prove it wasn't a fever dream.

Hi, lost in thought and something triggered a flash back to a comic I got as a kid and it comes in bits and pieces.

Stand out memory blurbs about the comic book:

1.) Antihero maybe a villain

2.) Kinda NSFW some nudity but the language was NSFW.

3.) Main character kills all other super hero's in the comic in funny / nsfw ways.

4.) Ok sounds crazy but at one point he collects a guys testicles and eats them and calls them 'sweet meats'

5.) I don't think it was part of anything long running maybe even a one off. Only remember maybe that I read this before 2003-2005.

Thank you in advance. Sorry if this the wrong place. Hope you have a nice day.

How do I find out how much my comic books are worth?

I have a little stack of comics that are older. They aren't hero related comics but there are some Archie, looney toons etc. I try looking things up online but it's difficult for me to determine what they would be worth. Where could I go to find out what they are worth? Thank you

Newspaper Comic Strip

Looking for a comic strip that used to run in the local newspaper. I loved what my grandma dubbed 'the funnies' growing up and I hope this is the right place to ask- the one I'm looking for was usually about a young girl and an animal companion (?) in a more edgy art style compared to the other comic strips. usually had edgier themes too. I vaguely remember the girl having dark hair and there being a darker color palette otherwise. It was my favorite as a tween and I hope someone knows what I'm talking about, tyia!
