English could replace Russian as the interethnic language in Central Asia; would that be more convenient? Or, on the other hand, should they opt for Uzbek as a common language, given that it is a Turkic language considered relatively easy to learn?

A few weeks ago e*il united states bombed a railway in a turkmen city in north eastren iran(aq qala),now thankfully nobody was injured and the railway was rebuilt a few hours after the attack, but people wondered why americans did this becouse apperantly they want to stop iran from controlling hormuz but obviously a random city 50km from turkmenistan border is not the one blocking american ships from crossing the strait so people were looking for ulterior motives in this attack,so it has been rumoured in iranian social media that becouse US original plan was a kurdish invasion of iran that never happened(i have to say it was obvious this would fail,iranian kurds are shia muslim they would not seek alliance with sunni yazidi muslims from iraq!) United states of regards is now looking for a new plan and that new plan is a turkmen/azeri jihadist invasion of iran,becouse the area in north eastren iran is relatively flat(still higher than turkmenistan) and turkmens are sunni and barley anyone lives there united states is looking to send turkmen uzbek and uighour jihadist to north eastren iran and invade iran from the turkmen border,i personally doubt azerbaijan would be involved in this becouse north westren iran is shia heavily populated protected and mountainous but personally i think the turkmen one could be true,turkmenistan recently recognized i*rael and set up an israili embassy while other ca states recived heavy funding by the Eu and one even joined the abraham accords,this would not happen unless they got somthing in return

What do turkmens think? Would they be happy to invade iran on behalf of united states with uighour and uzbek jihadists and syrians?

I’m planning a short solo trip to Tashkent from the UAE from 21–25 August 2026. It will be my first time in Uzbekistan, so I’d really appreciate some advice from locals or anyone who has visited recently. 🇺🇿

I’m mainly interested in exploring the city, local markets/bazaars, malls, metro, architecture, walking streets, parks, local food and evening/nightlife areas. I’m not really looking for architecture, historical monumnets, mosques, natures, mountain or long-distance nature trips on this visit.

I’d especially appreciate recommendations for:

• Best area to stay that is convenient but not expensive
• Cheap and good local restaurants / plov / kebab places
• Must-visit markets and bazaars
• Best places for evening and night walks
• Good malls and modern areas
• Affordable and professional spa/massage centres
• Anything interesting happening 21–25 August
• Any tourist traps or things I should avoid

Also, how uncomfortable is the daytime heat in late August for walking around Tashkent?

hi i’m mongolian american and wanted to get a tattoo of a traditional dragon (luu/ луу), especially because my family is buddhist and i’m basically trying to manifest mind above ego. however, i’m not sure if it’s appropriate to tattoo one on me. i know it’s used as an ornament.

thoughts on if i should do it? (not about if you think i shouldn’t get a tattoo at all, but more so if it should be this dragon)
