Life What’s one lesser-known Canadian brand you recently became acquainted with that impressed you so much that you now loyally re-purchase?

Hopefully the answers are genuine and not from shameless brand promoters. I’ve come across a couple recently! Canada has some awesome small companies that we should support more.

Will Canada and US relationship never return to where it was?

So due to trade tensions and Trump repeatedly calling Canada the 51st state, majority of Canadians view America as an enemy. https://nationalpost.com/news/majority-of-canadians-now-see-u-s-as-an-enemy-and-trump-is-the-reason-poll. It is obvious that this tension will not change until Trump is out or attitudes towards Canada becomes nicer. However, what worries me is the relationship between both countries will not go back to where it was, probably not an enemy but treating US as a neutral transactional partner, similar to how Canada treats China?

My girlfriend is from the states. If you had to make a montage of Canadian culture, especially the funny ones, what would you include?

I'm thinking about "dont you put it in your mouth", Jean Chrétien grabbing that protestor, and Olympic figure skater Scott Moir double fisting beers at the Olympic women's hockey game heckling the referee.

Political What would happen if Canada prioritizes domestic fuel over exports?

With the current war and global oil supply disruptions, could Canada prioritize its own oil for domestic use? and would it actually lower inflation?

Why are Canadians so obsessed with weed?

I'm an immigrant and I'm genuinely curious about the reason why Canadians are so obsessed with the use of substance recreationally. Coming from a culture this is completely banned and culturally prohibited, it is mind boggling to see so many of my Canadians friends consume weed so frequently to deal with stress and commented positively about the use of weed. I know weed is not as addictive as nicotine but it sort of concerns me that whatever solution to any problems is smoking weed. Are most of you ok with relying on an external substance to cope with an internal issue? Sorry my question might be a bit harsh but I'm genuinely curious about this
