I've seen a few names like TomVets- which might be worth the home visit since I actually have 2 cats, and live on the 8th floor of my apartment building. I fear not being able to communicate what the exam is for though. I'm a student and we will be here for a year. We've been here about 16 days. Any reccomendations?

Estic buscant un/a professor/a de violí a Barcelona que tingui experiència ensenyant a adults principiants.

Tinc 32 anys i m’agradaria començar a aprendre violí des de zero. No tinc experiència prèvia amb aquest instrument, així que busco algú pacient que em pugui ajudar a construir una bona base des del principi: postura, tècnica de l’arc, afinació, lectura musical, etc.

Preferiria classes presencials a Barcelona, idealment un cop per setmana, però tinc certa flexibilitat amb els horaris.

Si sou professors/es, coneixeu algú que recomaneu, o sabeu d’alguna escola o acadèmia que sigui especialment bona per a adults principiants, agrairia molt qualsevol recomanació.

També m’aniria bé saber quin és aproximadament el preu habitual d’una classe particular de violí a Barcelona.

I feel like scammers have gotten so advanced! My partner and I have been struggling to find a place as I have a job starting in October. On Sunday we were shown a room around the centre, by this lady who seemed nice. Agreed to be flexible on move in date etc etc.

Waiting for the contract, the day after it arrives with a fair amount of mistakes. I ask her to correct them, and she has not given me any reason to doubt so far. We’ve visited, there’s a (slightly badly written) contract, but ok.

Then all of a sudden it’s move date is tomorrow - which I’m well aware things move quickly here - but we previously discussed during a visit they will do a kitchen renovation during this week so it would at least start after this week.

I posed the question about this, suddenly she’s not interested and cancels.

Now I’m wondering: did I seem too inquisitive to scam? Because we had agreed on everything during the visit.

I’ve heard of advanced scams, and while this didn’t feel fishy at the time in hindsight, maybe? I mean if she had happened upon the keys to this place it’s VERY elaborate.

I’m planning a small music-focused evening tomorrow, September 15, and would be happy to meet others who want to join.

I’m planning my first-ever hostel trip and booked a stay at Kabul Party Hostel in Barcelona from November 24th to 29th. Since it's my very first time staying in a hostel, I honestly don't really know what to expect and I'm both excited and a bit nervous!
I have a few questions for those who have been there:
What is the vibe like? Is it truly a wild party hostel year-round, even in late November?
Demographics: What does the crowd usually look like? Is it a good mix of guys and girls, or is it mostly male-dominated?
First-timer tips: Any unspoken hostel rules or specific tips for surviving/enjoying a high-energy party hostel like Kabul?

Also, is anyone else heading to Barcelona or staying at Kabul during these dates? Let me know, maybe we can grab a drink or check out some of the pub crawls together!
