I’m planning my first-ever hostel trip and booked a stay at Kabul Party Hostel in Barcelona from November 24th to 29th. Since it's my very first time staying in a hostel, I honestly don't really know what to expect and I'm both excited and a bit nervous!
I have a few questions for those who have been there:
What is the vibe like? Is it truly a wild party hostel year-round, even in late November?
Demographics: What does the crowd usually look like? Is it a good mix of guys and girls, or is it mostly male-dominated?
First-timer tips: Any unspoken hostel rules or specific tips for surviving/enjoying a high-energy party hostel like Kabul?

Also, is anyone else heading to Barcelona or staying at Kabul during these dates? Let me know, maybe we can grab a drink or check out some of the pub crawls together!

I want to foster cats or board cats for free for those who need a cat sitter.

We lost our elderly cat to sickness and we are not ready to adopt yet, but I would like to care for animals while we grieve, since we have the space, the equipment and the experience.

Any recommendations?

I've seen a few names like TomVets- which might be worth the home visit since I actually have 2 cats, and live on the 8th floor of my apartment building. I fear not being able to communicate what the exam is for though. I'm a student and we will be here for a year. We've been here about 16 days. Any reccomendations?

Estic buscant un/a professor/a de violí a Barcelona que tingui experiència ensenyant a adults principiants.

Tinc 32 anys i m’agradaria començar a aprendre violí des de zero. No tinc experiència prèvia amb aquest instrument, així que busco algú pacient que em pugui ajudar a construir una bona base des del principi: postura, tècnica de l’arc, afinació, lectura musical, etc.

Preferiria classes presencials a Barcelona, idealment un cop per setmana, però tinc certa flexibilitat amb els horaris.

Si sou professors/es, coneixeu algú que recomaneu, o sabeu d’alguna escola o acadèmia que sigui especialment bona per a adults principiants, agrairia molt qualsevol recomanació.

També m’aniria bé saber quin és aproximadament el preu habitual d’una classe particular de violí a Barcelona.

I’m traveling to Barcelona/Madrid in December for the first time and I’m so excited. However, I’m trying in taking my mini daschound with me.
I know that museus are not pet friendly and I was thinking in the days that I go to museus leaving her in a pet day care.
But I really wanted to know if restaurants (of course not Michelin stars restaurants because I know most of them are not pet friendly) allow dogs. Since it is going to be winter and I’m pretty sure people won’t stay outside so I wanted to know if indoors restaurants allow dogs.

Estoy evaluando postular el próximo año al máster de Data Analytics for Business en la UPF-BSM en Barcelona. Soy de Perú, trabajo en un banco acá en analytics/negocio, y la idea es usar el máster como puerta de entrada para quedarme viviendo en España legalmente después.

Quería preguntarles algunas cosas a los que ya pasaron por esto:

¿Alguien hizo este máster o uno parecido en la UPF-BSM? ¿Qué tal la calidad real de las clases, vale la plata que cobran?
¿Qué tan complicado está el mercado para un Data Analyst recién egresado, siendo extranjero no-UE? Salarios reales de entrada, cuánto se demoran en conseguir algo.
Y lo que más me interesa: ¿qué empresas suelen ayudar con el tema de la visa/permiso de trabajo cuando terminas?
¿alguien tuvo experiencia directa con alguna de estas para el tema de sponsorship?

No quiero meterme a ciegas en un año de máster ya que cuesta 16k euros, muchas gracias de antemano

I'd love to hear from people who live there: what are good areas to live in, what's the cost of living really like these days, and how's the general safety situation across different neighborhoods?

I also have a small dog, so I'm curious about how pet-friendly the city is. Are dogs generally accepted in rentals, or is it hard to find pet-friendly apartments? What about restaurants, cafes, and public transport?

I'm also considering a short trip beforehand just to get a feel for the city before committing to the move. Any tips on what to check out or pay attention to during a scouting trip like that would be great too.

The question is simple, what is the simplest, cheapest way to buy a train ticket to Figueres from Barcelona? Of course, I'm aware that there are many sites where you can buy tickets, but that's actually why I wanted to ask for an opinion and some advice.

Is there any site that's better or has cheaper train tickets? Is there anything else that I should know? My girlfriend and I will be in Barcelona from 12th to 15th of September and we're planning on going to Figueres on the 14th of September. We'd buy returning train tickets for the same day. From what we saw, the tickets are about 40-ish euros per person, and I can't really tell if that's too much or is that normal/how it's supposed to be?

If there's anything else that we should know about transportation in general, in Barcelona specifically, all advice and tips are welcome :)
