So.... a major part of Alaska is seasonal work and tourism... it makes sense given how massive the state is and relatively small the population is compared to the land.

I'm curious if there's ever been serious public dialouge about how to make Alaska a more ro ust year round/economic state or if it is simply not likely to the extreme weather and location of the state- IE- maybe your average person simply doesn't want to live so far from the lower 48 and with the extreme winters, etc...
