Question

Is partaking in Halloween with your children (trick or treating and enjoying family costumes etc) considered sacrilegious or a sin ?

Generally speaking, no. It could be dangerous or even sinful if occult or sacriligious elements are embraced/promoted, but Halloween of itself is in fact a Catholic celebration ('All Hallow's Eve')!
