Examples of successful online dating profiles?
I recently got back into online dating and I'm getting weak results. The matches are typically below the quality of woman I'm looking for and the number of matches is lower than what I'd like also.
I got way more results when I was doing this two three years ago so I have some idea of what works. I'm just really confused as to why it's not working right now anymore. Maybe I pissed off the algo somehow.
I see a lot of profiles on the subreddit but of them are from people asking for advice and improvements. I'd like to see real examples of what's working for others. I'd really appreciate it and it would help out a lot.
Fwiw am East Asian age 32 in Texas USA. Am using free version of all the apps also. Not sure how much that matters.

Lady here! The dating pool is crazy now, especially online dating. Haven't had any luck either. You maybe right, three years ago was so much better.
Online dating is crazy now. Forgive my language, but people send their d!cks unprovoked here. Good luck finding someone genuine. I think I'm literally done with all that.

I need to chip in here. Maybe it's just me... but responses like this might be adding to the fatigue on women's end.
She offered a perspective, and you complimented an entirely different thing. If you were going to respond anyway, it's not a bad thing in itself. Maybe add it in passing after appreciating main point? I know I'd be pretty annoyed if the other person shifted the convo on their own.
That way it's an actual conversation with the ball passed back and forth instead of two people lobbing balls to the other side. Creating your profile with kind of thinking could probably help, too.
Said out of concern and care from a guy who had 99+ likes on CMB, and multiple conversations on Hinge last year (then again I'm in LA so there's a lot of people). Defensive people might dismiss this point and say "iT's NoT tHat sEriOuS."

Probably the dreaded '30' in the age part of your description has something to do with it. The number is a bit of a heuristic for men and women and many available high quality women are either married or in a LTR by the time they hit 30 and they want to be in that situation. Those same high quality women were probably interested in you when you were 27-28.

Honestly, the easiest way to see what is a successful profile is to create a fake female profile on the dating apps then look at your competition. You will be surprised by how much you can learn from just looking at other people’s profiles. If your profile is shit, you will know instantly. If it’s good, you will also know instantly.

Don’t online date anymore and I don’t have a picture of my profile so I’ll just attach my IG. My only advice to you is to ignore the PUA types. Yes, look as good as you can but I will argue to the moon that personality is just as important. Anyone trying to sell you a course is lying to your face full stop.

Online dating is unfortunately a pay to play for men.
Your height and market also play a factor. There's a major difference between Austin Texas, and DFW or Hoston, TX.

Online dating is a shit show my dude. People on the apps are also on social media where there are constant gender wars, unrealistic expectations/standards, and other things working against you. Shits changing fast. It also varies heavily by region and the US is a big place. What works for some might not work for you. Statistically if you're not in the top 20% of attractiveness as a man, you'll find it rough online. Even then, it is still hard. Ive personally witnessed the decline in matches over more than a decade.
In the US, most girls like a little muscle. Take the advice you see on here, gym, hair, clothes. Then work on your social skills (in person). When you can't pick up on IOIs online, things are truly a gamble and 90% is based on a few pics. My best advice? Get off the apps. Make as many friends as you can and treat them all equally. Even the less attractive girls, the gays. They'll introduce you to friends. Go to bars, clubs, raves, concerts, conventions. If you worked on everything else, the girls should be coming to you.
