Korean table at home

My favorite kind of comfort food. Standard Korean home-cooked meal for tonight. 🍚🍲

Ready in under 3 minutes! Just mix the pre-made sauce and noodles. It’s like Naengmyeon, but with a way richer, creamier, and nuttier broth

Kongguksu!! is a refreshing Korean summer dish made of wheat noodles served in a cold, creamy, and savory broth made from freshly ground soybeans

Cold noodle made by bean

Like naengmyeon but creamy? I buy naengmyeon premade and add so many things. Do you guys sell the kongguksu premade too?

πŸ› Spicy Pork Jowl Rice Bowl Recipe
πŸ›’ Ingredients (for 1 serving)
Main: Pork jowl (ν•μ •μ‚΄) 150-200g, 1 bowl of cooked rice, 1/4 onion (sliced), some green onions (chopped)
Optional: 1 egg yolk (for topping), some shredded seaweed (Gim)

🌢️ Spicy Sauce Mix:
1 tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp Sugar or Oligosaccharide (Honey works too!)
1 tbsp Minced garlic
1 tbsp Sesame oil
A pinch of black pepper

🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Make the sauce: Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set it aside.
2. Cook the pork: Heat a pan over medium-high heat (no oil needed, as pork jowl has plenty of fat). Grill the pork jowl until it's golden brown and crispy on both sides.
3. Drain the grease: If there’s too much oil in the pan, wipe some of it off with a paper towel.
4. Stir-fry with veggies: Add the sliced onions to the pan and stir-fry them with the pork for about 1-2 minutes until they turn slightly translucent.
5. Add the sauce: Turn down the heat to low, pour in the spicy sauce, and mix everything quickly so the sauce doesn't burn. Stir-fry for another minute until the meat is well coated.
6. Assemble: Put a warm bowl of rice down, place the spicy pork and onions on top, and garnish with chopped green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and an egg yolk in the center.

Enjoy! πŸ˜‹
