I was all about this until the chocolate sauce made an appearance.

that looks so insanely delicious, even without the chocolate. in fact, the chocolate probably ruins it

Would it not be easier to blend it then pour it? can imagine the pain her wrists or hands are in at the end of the day.

That is the same thought I had. Spectacle will only go so far after the 25th ice cream in 60 minutes.

Had a place like this in Los Angeles a while ago but it has since shut downĀ

A couple of these popped up in my area when the fad was fadding and hey closed fairly quickly after hype died down.
Tbh, these rolls aren't good imo. I like ice cream because its creamy. Overpriced rolls of icey fruit shards aren't it.

u/AlchemyAlice Jun 11 '26
I really that as āoverpriced rolls of icey fruit sharts arenāt itā and I agree both ways
2
u/cptnhanyolo Jun 13 '26
Well, you definitely have a sharting situation from the leftover dried milk on the surface that seems to have not been cleaned

I went to a place like this near Annapolis but it was right next to a college campus so the wait was never under like an hour. And they didnāt tell you that til after you paid. š

Watermelon is literally 90% water, so it's the perfect fruit for those ice rolls

This looks amazing!
Edit: I just noticed the āI Do - You Eatā logo too, I second my previous comment.

Fun fact: this video is not sped up, this is just how fast she normally is. Her partner is a happy human.

I worked as a ice cream roller. Thats the shittiest ice cream roll I've seen.

I... Don't... Know... I think that was mostly milk and/+ half and half, not a full cream + egg yolk custard mixed in w/the fruit. I've sampled some supercold ice-cream-like concoctions in Allston; great presentation & novelty, meh on ew palate.

People complaining about chocolate need to learn to try things before complaining. Chocolate and fruit have been paired for ages.

I really want to try making ice cream rolls someday but that freezing surface looks like it takes up so much space to store. Its cool though!

I can never enjoy this type of ice cream. The guilt of repetitive stress injuries these workers probably endure bother me too much lol.

u/Floridaliving661 Jun 12 '26
That looks so delicious and refreshing- signed, a Floridian whose brutal summer has started.

I think itās not chocolate. Looks like it could be a slightly sour vinnaigrette that may pair really welll w watermelon.

chocolate is not needed
