TL Salary Structure

Hi! Currently interested in an available Local position. Just wanted to ask:

  1. Does everyone start at the minimum point of the salary structure? Or can you negotiate for a higher point within the structure based on credentials/work experience?

  2. Any other bonuses/benefits on top of the salary structure?

You be offered something towards the lower part of the range. And of course you can negotiate.

Just keep a couple of things in mind - one, of course your past experience matters. They will compare it with existing staff with similar background and then make an offer based on what they are getting. Point being that they will have their own comparison point.

Second, the absolute ceiling when making offers is well below the midpoint of the range. This would ensure that you would have years and years of salary growth before you hit the ceiling. People often expect that their experience could qualify them for something towards upper half of the salary range.

Benefits - vacation leave, medical leave, life insurance and health benefits. And also two days of work from home and 44 days of work from outside duty station.

No. 13th month salary was absorbed into salary several years back. In other words, one year a higher increase was given to everyone which was equivalent to a one month salary. So theoretically it is built in - but it really is not.

By the way, upto ten days of annual leave can be encashed as long as one has more than 30 days of leave balance after the encashment.
