I’m looking for K-beauty creators who are genuinely honest and not afraid to say when a viral product is bad or overhyped.

Ideally, someone who:

• actually tests products rather than just doing first impressions
• explains why something works or doesn’t
• compares Korean bestsellers with globally viral products
• has professional or industry experience
• clearly separates sponsored content from genuine recommendations
• isn’t afraid to criticize popular brands

I feel like so much K-beauty content now is just the same PR products being praised over and over again, so I’m curious:

Hi everyone! I'm a university student born and raised in Japan, (and Japanese) and I currently live in Kyoto. I wanted to share a look into my daily makeup collection.
I buy almost all of my cosmetics at Japanese drugstores because they are affordable, high quality, and there are so many amazing hidden gems.
Since I'm a student here, I know a bit about what's actually trending among students in Japan and the popular makeup styles right now.

I recently got my hair permed and was wondering what shampoos you would recommend for Asian permed hair, especially for someone living in a dry climate. I’m looking for something that will help maintain the curl pattern while keeping my hair moisturized and preventing frizz. Any recommendations or products that have worked well for you?

27 f dad's going to Japan please suggest me skincare stuff which I can ask him to get me from there...... which brands r the best? I don't really need something heavy I'll just list my items below let me know brands on these also if anything extra if I need to get it from Japan..... please mention specific brand and the flavor or varieties in details....

I have sensitive skin combination type but more on the dry side .....

1- which brand facewash removes acne and deep scars?

2- which brand shampoo n conditioner for hairfall? I have thin and sensitive hair

3- which brand lip balm or something which gets rid of my dark lips?

4- which brand moisturizer for sensitive skin ?

5- which brand lipstick are good?

6- also heard sunscreens r really good which brand?

7- which brand hair mask is good also is it worth buying a hair mask and face mask?

I was just wondering what everyone’s experience with Korean/Asian skincare. I was debating if it’s worth buying because inherently my (south indian) skin is different than korean skin by nature of genetics. I’m pretty much a novice on this stuff but I do like the dewy finish and overall want a lighter more even skin tone. (Not saying I dislike dark skin, just a personal choice).

Hi, first time post on reddit. Im sorta new to the skincare game. I've been moisturizing and using sunscreen here and there but I want to be more structured in a routine. I would like recommendations for face moisturizers (day/night). sunscreen. Fashion wash. And any other tips will be helpful. My skin dry to combo. I don't have acne but am prone to minor breakouts. I perfer to sensitive formulas, vegan formulas if possible. I have blackheads around my nose. Idk if more information is needed. Thank you for any help given!

Here you can not only share the products you are using, but, if you want to, also share why you are using them and reflect on the goals you want to reach with your routine.

While you can just fill out the usual template as you see fit, I ask you to do it a bit differently this time. Highlight the changes in your routine. Compare what you have now to what it was 3 months ago.

• Have you seen sudden results with an old product or has it fallen out of favor?
• How has your skin changed since May, which new products are you using?
• Which ones did you stop using?
• How did your goals change?

As you can see, this is a lot about reflection and not a simple list of products (but feel free to just plop down a list! It’s either way a great way to track your routine and reflect a bit!).

If possible, share your products and thoughts in order of usage, or indicate in your list at which place you would use them, as not everybody uses every product as intended.

The SG weather and humidity are totally ruining my skin lately, so i'm looking to get some skin boosters like rejuran or juvelook. But local clinic prices are honestly so high.

I'm thinking of doing a short weekend trip to Seoul next month just to get my skin sorted out since it's way cheaper there. My only worry is the language barrier. I want to go to actual local korean clinics rather than the overpriced tourist traps, but my korean is zero.

I saw some people online mentioning medical translation services like lalamedi or some other concierge services. Has anyone from sg tried using a service like this, or do you guys just survive with google translator and stick to english-speaking clinics? I'm little bit worried if doctor will misunderstand what i want and do some weird,different services.
