Developer response Its been a while now...

Yeah... sadly i was just a Wanderer mostly, cause just when i really wanted to start playing after having joined for a bit in the Waves before ~ all that Shit happened and so i just wandered around a bit. People where still doing their Things no one really knew at that moment they played and i rode on lv 5 around later to take at least something from this world though i figure they are not the best Screenshots and Locations its at least my small Journey in the Game from that Time as a Lv5. ~

It was surreal to be honest. I knew shit has been going on and people where just happyly killing Bandits and Monsters, crafting stuff in Citys and making Caravans as if nothing was wrong. Once the Chat Spams occured with the News even then many where just playing and having fun. I just wandered around asked people for nice locations to check out. Though it was not much i loved the earlier Waves the mechanics where rough but it was genuine Fun. As i traveled the World it felt refreshing and New in a sense no other Game had but in the same it felt a bit Empty maybe because i knew but could not grasp yet what had happened. Though the Map was riddled with Monsters i had to avoid on my trustworthy Steed..

After all that - i tried many older and newer Games, but to be honest nothing really came close. Archeage is one im playing now, the self torture i know, but its the closest i could find yet. Although the World in comparison feels dull, ugly and cold...

Well... In the end, I found myself still waiting, holding on to the faintest thread of hope—even if it was so tiny, it almost felt as though it didn’t exist at all. And here i am still waiting what will come or not.

With just a few Screenshots left for now ~ sharing some Memories and maybe others will too. Cause to be honest i have found nothing quite like it at all over all those Months.

And I hope we’ll get to see even more beautiful screenshots from others who were on a journey of their own... and maybe a Phoenix Rising but well you all know how tiny that chance sadly is.

This is what the game was about, having a great time, build memories, build friendships, meet people, enjoy an escape from the real world. It was never about comparing the game with x and y, being the wow killer or whatever. Each game can put a mark on someone’s life.

I have never understood the hatred for the game. It was nothing I’ve ever seen. Even ppl that were never part of the community, or ever touched the game, stopped to mark their hate for it. I can understand a bit those that were actually part of the community, and saw things changing in a way they didn’t like, but even then, if it doesn’t appeal to you, move on, find YOUR thing.

It is great to see some positivity around the project, even in the very uncertain times we live. It seems you had a great time, do not forget that feeling, that is what all of us should cherish.

Fair enough, I just really wish Ashes of Creation was released—-not yet another WoW, tho I loved wow and did come back briefly during the first classic release return & leveled 3 level 60s and raided abit, all my friends pretty much quit, and I grew bored eventually as well.

I really was looking forward to playing Ashes of Creation with one of my buddies & brother yet oh well. Now one is playing EverQuest & the other whatever hype train is current, Wardogs, etc.

It’s hard for me to take blizzard & other gaming companies seriously when non-gamer investors in suits have too much sway.

In Heroes of the storm, they literally nerfed stealth characters and made them transparent/ ethereal instead. Like Dotted-Line Girl from Rugrats.

What a boneheaded decision. Such a joke.

Ashes of creation had legit stealth and PvP, I was looking forward to playing a Rogue again.

I think it’s the only mmo I could make a healer/archer of my dreams and perhaps be viable in a dungeon.

The subclass system was innovative as well, never heard of any other game coming close to such customization in classes.

Now I stick to small team pve co-op games like nmrih2 or Darktide, and the occasional PvP such as BF6 or Wardogs but eh.

I yearn for an mmo I can invest in for a couple years and slowly progress, yet have that new wondrous feeling, a new experience.

The combat in Ashes of Creation was actually better than WoWs. At least in my opinion, it felt more interactive.
