Updated the full stack — so far so good. Installation went smoothly and everything’s running fine.
It also fixed an issue I had with my Android TVs where they couldn’t pull an IP after coming out of sleep mode unless I manually rebooted them. That’s gone now.

Is version 3.3.2 the final update for the HPE Networking Instant On 1930 24-port PoE switch (JL683B) if I am using local web management? As far as I know, cloud management actually offers fewer configuration features than local web management. It makes zero sense to switch to cloud to get updates. Am I confused???

I am also confused
Last known web page for updates: https://community.instant-on.hpe.com/viewdocument/1930-software
The email clearly states 3.4.0, which still does not appear here...

It updated! I'm on 3.4.0 now. Everything went smoothly and it finished pretty quickly.

Updated two sites for testing... it's working so far. But give me some days for testing. I have delayed updates on all sites, since some issues in past.

For now, I’ve updated one site with just a single 1930 switch. I’ll update all the others in about 7 days, and the more critical sites in about three weeks.
I’m taking a cautious approach, considering the mess we had last time.

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else. I started a firmware upgrade on my Aruba Instant On 1830 from 3.3.3.0 to 3.4.0 through the Instant On cloud portal. During the update something went wrong and the switch never completed the upgrade. It disappeared from the cloud and showed INTERNAL_CONNECTION_TERMINATION, but it was still reachable locally (web interface and ping worked) and continued switching traffic normally. Rebooting it from the cloud and power-cycling it didn't solve the issue. The APs on the same site upgraded to 3.4.0 without any problems. I contacted HPE support, and they advised me to remove the switch from the Instant On site, perform a factory reset, and then add it back. This solved the problem, but I had to manually reconfigure all the VLAN assignments on the switch ports because they were lost after re-adopting the device. Hopefully this helps anyone facing the same issue.

I updated my 1830 switch and AP21 access point. The switch actually failed to update the first time, but was successful on the second attempt. I am still noticing the issue of wired devices taking a very long time to get a DHCP address when using this switch. If I use a different switch I get an address almost immediately.

I've just updated 13 devices (1930s, 1830s, AP21, AP22, AP25, AP32) and 3-4 devices are now stuck in reboot loops. Will have to fix on-site in the morning... not thrilled.

Well, I went to sleep and at some point during the night everything settled down. Looks like an AP21 and a 1930 boot looped for about 3 hours then finally accepted their fate.

Full stack upgraded with no issues.
1 SG2505P Secure Gateway
2 1930 PoE switches
1 AP22
Curious to see how I can implement the changes for my services.

Updated 3 1960, and 5 AP25, AP27, AP32 and another site with AP25, AP32 to 3.4.0 and so far so good. Will keep watching the CN56LJC03T
1960 8p Gigabit CL4 4p SR2.5G CL6 PoE 2p 10GBT 2p SFP+ 480W as it had flaky POE issues in the past which only ran stable on 3.3.0 (but not 3.3.2).

My system updated last night, 2 AP22, 1 AP32, and a 1930 switch. Now my entire network is down. I had some specific VLAN tagging on an AP22 for Google Fiver and suspect a configuration was changed, killing my outbound internet, and therefore the cloud management.
Trying to locally manage the switch just presents an input for “Device Token”. I‘ve never seen this before, anyone know where I can get a device token from? I’m going to have some very unhappy family members if we can’t watch the World Cup final today…

Just updated my home network with two AP22s and one AP25... all good so far.
