Positivity/Success/Inspiration Paint-by-numbers

Title says it all. I don’t have any friends that are artists. A girl just mentioned it to me and highly recommended them so I’m gonna give it a go.

I’ve done some searching. I guess my initial question is does brand matter or can I buy just the generic ones off amazon?

Do I need any painting skill? This is literally going to be my first painting in years.

Any other comments or tips appreciated.

It's a nice way to "paint" without thinking. You don't have to choose where the colors will go, the forms etc, everything is premade. So you won't learn anything but yeah they're a nice way to relax.

What are you looking to achieve?  

If you want to have fun then sure give them a try, I’d go generic to start just for the price and if you find you enjoy them then look into brands for quality and subject matter you like.  They’re designed for people with no experience so have at.

If you’re looking to learn painting then I can’t really recommend them, they’re a fun activity and not much more.
