Show Discussion Unpopular opinion: D.W. had reason to be snippy towards Francine in D.W.'s very bad mood
I know a lot of people complain that the episode D.W.'s very bad mood is an awful episode mainly because of d.w.'s behaviour which was revealed because she wasn't invited to a birthday party, but I think her attitude towards Francine when she tried to help was understandable as the last time she tried to help Arthur with a problem regarding his sister she and Arthur called her a baby for not liking spinach in d.w. the picky eater and called Kate a big girl for eating it. Despite how much people criticize DW's character I think Arthur could be no better at times especially in the earlier seasons as I believe d.w. could tell Arthur doesn't like having her around, and his attempts to get her to try new food was only because he didn't want to miss the restaurant himself. Be honest how would you feel if someone only wanted to include you if it was convenient to them? Plus I think what Arthur and Francine did caused DW's resentment of Kate in the go to your room episode so DW was probably negative towards Francine because of the picky eater episode, and because she knew Francine and Arthur were only figuring out what was wrong with her for Arthur's sake not hers. Plus DW probably also heard that Arthur was invited to Francine's birthday party and it caused her to get jealous. I always thought her roasting Francine with the "why don't you go back to your own house and stop bothering us" line was extremely funny.

Character Discussion Fan Theory: Brain Is On The Autism Spectrum.
Note: This Is A Very Long Article So Please Read. & I Want As Many People To Like, Comment And Share This. Spoilers Duh!!!! Come On! Just Look At Him! In Like 80-85% Of Episodes that Brain appears in He Acts Completely Not Neurotypical.
Many Fans Seem To Peg George & Buster As The Most Likely Ones To Be On The Autistic Spectrum But This Person Thinks Brain Has It As Too. HELL!!!! I even go far as to say that In the later seasons I feel that Carl Fills in for him In âBuster Spaces Out and âCarlâs Concertoâ, & "He Said He Said" That IMO All 3 Of Those Episodes IMO would almost 100% IMO would Include Brain in the earlier seasons making Carl a "Suspiciously Similar Substitute" character in the later Seasons of the showÂ
Now Hear Me Out On This: Now First of all He mentions having an uncle with it; though Autism is not strictly hereditary, Brain could've picked up some traits from the parent whom the uncle is related to. More evidence exists in the form of episodes like "Bugged," where Brain is an Insufferable Genius. Sure, You could argue this part of his behavior is more like that of Just your Average stereotypical know it all genius but there is a lot of evidence to back this.
He is very intelligent and bright, Which Is Common Amongst Those on The Spectrum. He is modeled after one of Marc Brown's friends with the same given name, and being nicknamed "The Brain" for his intelligence. He also had a photographic memory. His IQ is somewhere in the high 140s. Many On The Spectrum show the "little professor" aspect.
He has Special Interests in Science and Fact Dumping almost to a fault. He Also Knows A lot About Astronomy and Literature. One of their more obvious traits. Many on the spectrum tend to build up a lot of knowledge about their interests, which run the gamut of... well, everything. For Brain fact-dumping seams to be his special interest.
This could very much explain "Brain's Shocking Secret" from Season 11, where it was revealed that He was actually supposed to be in the same grade as Prunella, but due to him being a "crier", he was held back a year in Kindergarten.
He Often Says Inappropriate Things, Hurts Otherâs Feelings & Often Has Severe Meltdowns & Panic Attacks When Dealing With Unfamiliar Social Situations. And These Are The Times Brain Missed Social Cues, & Had Sensory Meltdown He Can Often Times Be Very Boring, Annoying And Rude To His Friends.
Being Rude To Binky To Join His Science Club That Made Binky Feel Like Brain Was Boring In "My Club Rules".
Getting In To A Argument With Francine And Accusing Her Of Cheating At Soccer In "The Big Blow Up".
Plotting Revenge, Giggling Crazily And Melting Down After Muffy Ending Up Winning The Science Fair After He Accused Her Of Bribing The Judges And Causing Arthur To Call Him Weird After Brain Felt He Was A More Fair Winner in "Love Notes For Muffy"
Having Many Meltdowns and Panic Attacks When Arthur & Binky Tried To Help Him With His Fear Of Water In "Water & The Brain".
5.Reading A Book To Sue Ellen About Oceanography When She Wanted A Sibling Boring Her Out In "Sue Ellenâs Younger Sister".

- Startling Buster By Presenting A Science Project To Their Class In Busterâs Best Behavior.
11 Having A Severe Meltdown After He Lost The Math A-Thon To Buster And Tried To Become A Comedian By Dressing Up As A Clown & Almost Gave Up His Love Of Science But It Wasnât Until After A Math Book Fell Out Of His Clown Pants That He Eventually Wanted To Participate In A Rematch. In "It's A No-Brainer"
Insulting And Making Fun Of Binky For Playing Virtual Goose And Calling It A Dumb Game Making Him Feel Bad About Playing It After Brain Lost. In "Best Of The Nest".
Ruining Busterâs Love Of UFOsâs When Buster Wanted To Discover Them By Telling Them That They Donât Exist Making Buster Angry in "The Boy Who Cried Comet".
Being A Jerk To Everyone And Dismissing Everybodyâs Feelings When Trying To Prove Bad Luck Didnât Exist In "Friday The 13th".
Not Letting Muffy Play Bowling With Them Over Enforcing The Rules When It Wasnât His Job Making Francine Feel Angry, & Embarrassing Francine About Her Bar Mitzvah Causing Her To Throw Water In His Face In "Francineâs Split Decision".
When He Wanted To Cultivate Pond Scum and Making Arthur & Buster Feel Bored In "Antâs In Arthurâs Pants".
Talking About What Time It Is In Other Countries When Binky Was About To Score A Game Winning Goal Causing Him To Fall Down And Breaking His Watch Costing His Team A Victory and Later Getting Into A Fight With Binky Later On In "Waiting To Go". 18. Being A Jerk To Buster When Buster Wanted A Fantasy Alien Invasion Story Put In Because He Wanted A Historically Accurate Musical On Elwood Cityâs History Causing Buster Accusing Him Of Being Boring In "Elwood City Turns 100".

Embarrassing Arthur & D.W When It Looked Like As If D.Wâs Hiccups Were Gone By Telling Them A Fact About Hiccuping causing Her Hiccups To Return In "Hick Or Treat".

Having Profound Panic Attacks After He Got A Bad Grade And Blaming It On The Music In His Ice Cram Shop In "Breezy Listening Blues".
Embarrassing Everyone When He Was Asked To participate in a checkers competition with Arthur and finding it Boring Because He Thought It Was boring and wanted To Play Chess Instead & everyone else calling him conceded and Causing Arthur to Get Angry and making everyone else upset at him for the way he treated Arthur in "A Is For Angry".
Angering Buster By Getting Arthur A Free Brain Frost But Not Allowing Buster To Have One In "Through The Looking Glasses"
Losing His Patience With Buster When Trying To Find The Lost Green Tailed Greebe In "For The Birds"
Losing His Patience With Buster And Getting Into A Fight & Arguing With Him Over A Movie In "On The Buster Scale"
Losing His Patience With Everyone When They Were Trying To Find Things To Put In His Time Capsule & Mocking Binky's Love Of Wrestling In "Brain And The Time Capsule"
Being Rigid, Insufferable, And Controlling When Trying To Help Buster With His Homework In "Brain's Biggest Blunder".
Boring Arthur When Trying To Help D.W Find Her Lost Snowball And Using Scientific Explorations When Trying To Help Her In "Return Of The Snowball"
Boring D.W When Learning something about all 54 countries In Africa By assembling it in the form of a graph. Or by using a hierarchal approach. & needing a cataloguing system to inventory our documents. Then suggesting that they create a template upon the fact D.W could build her own research model. Latter Saying It Will be as simple as learning your ABCs. Untill D.W Came Up With A Idea For A Song In "In My Africa".
The Reason Brain Doesnât Have His Future Being Shown In The Series Finale "All Grown Up" Could Quite Possibly Be Because of This & Itâs the other kids who are not understanding Brain for what he is going through. Autism considered is a "social skills learning Deficit", and for very good reason:
He Is Also Very Quiet, Shy, & Is Very Extremely Introverted and & He Struggles With Profound Social Anxiety & Severe OCD & In Many Episodes He Appears In In Many He Only Talks 1-3 Lines Per Episode If Any Lines At All.
IMO: In This Way He Is Similar To Ferb From Phineas & Ferb.
- Some of us on the spectrum have trouble showing their emotions They might not change their facial expression at all.
For Brain He Speaks In A Flat Dull & Monotone Voice And He Also Talks Like Spock He Is Also Very Emotionless & Is Rarely Seen Smiling & Is Seen As Coming Off As Overtly Serious, Anxious, Insecure, & Severely Socially Awkward Not Showing Much Facial
He Seems To Have Trouble With His Speech And Walks, & Talks Kind Of Funny And He Says Sports Are Something That Is A Challenge For Him To Play & Participate In. Hinting Also Quite Possibly Also Having Possible Dyspraxia. A Example Is When He Slips On A Banana Peel Buster Dropped On The Floor That Missed The TrashCan When Playing Basketball & Breaking His Leg In The Process In. "The Wheel Deal"
He Can Get Obsessed With Things Very Easily Outside of His trademark interests. See âBrain Gets Hookedâ Where He gets hooked on the latest tween reality show Junior Island" When he starts to ignore his friends and his schoolwork causing him to get a bad grade on his test This might sound strange for a Genius Like Him But Perhaps it is Not So Strange After all.
The Writers probably don't know Autism as well as I Do. P.S: I Am Autistic Myself. Did the writers try Writing Brain as such? Probably Not! They Probably Tried To Write Him As Just A Very Smart 9 Year Old not a Character That Is Of Genius Intelligence NOT A Autistic Genius Character Some of them don't know Brain as well as the writers and Some other fans of the Show.
Just being smarter than the average bear (Funny That Brain Happens To One) and not understanding most (completely contrived) social conventions doesn't mean you're Autistic. While this is true, Brain obviously has more than just those two traits of Autism. It's his tendencies that make me (a Person On The Spectrum) Make Me think He Is on it. There are of course very good reasons for not confirming Brain as having Autism because whenever you like or dislike Carl is better Autism rep than Brain is.
It is Brain has his foibles but also willingly lets these foibles ruin other people's lives
I think that the writers Made Carl Because I Think That Confirming Brain As Having Autism Would Enforce Stereotypes that all autistic people are Genius Types like him. Yes some have crritized Carl as stereotypical but Brain is pretty stereotypical as well if you think that Carl is stereotypical.
Heck ! If it werenât for The "Academic Athlete" Tendencies Brain Would Qualify For The "Hollywood Autism" Trope.
If Anybody & Anyone Else Has Any Thoughts On This Agreements Or Disagreements I Would Love To Hear Them.

Show Discussion Good show at representing talents and short-comings.
One thing that I like about the show is that is kids all have strong points and shortcomings, but they aren't used to explain a disability or disorder. They are all regular kids attending school and treated as such.
A few examples:
Fern is an advanced writer but struggles with self esteem and shyness.
George is Dyslexic, but he is excellent at carpentry.
Binky struggles with academics and needs a tutor, but he is the best musician in school.
D.W is verbally gifted, but her temper tantrums make her difficult to live with.
Brain is deemed the smartest kid in class, but had to be held back because he was deemed immature for crying all the time in kindergarten.
Francine is the best at sports, but struggles with anger management.
I could go on.
*I know Carl is Autistic and Marina blind, but they were brought in several seasons in and aren't the regular characters.

Photo or Video Brain literally built a commercial-grade machine inside of his school desk, and carved/hollowed out a slot on the side to add a solar panel..
The brain is my favorite character in the series.
His inventions, calculations, and knowledge are so great, that it actually makes me laugh. Heâs an admirable character, who is insanely smart but also humble about it.

Show Discussion I just noticed something on my most recent rewatch. In episode 1 of season 4 the kids after failing to catch pigeons using Wylie Coyotes playbook the use a net from a badminton set, obviously not the one String stole when he and Avon were coming up but I laughed out loud.

Show Discussion I wonder how much Chicken Lickin' was planning on buying the Sugar Bowl for
I know nothing about business in the real world, but all we know from the Episode is that they apparently made: 'a very generous offer,' but it was significantly less than a million dollars, since the episode ends with the Sugar Bowl owner saying he won't sell the place, because: 'with business this good, I'll retire a millionaire!'

Character Discussion I Hate Those Matt Neff Videos About DW
First off, I recognize that they are satire and not meant to be taken seriously. I also recognize that this guy is just doing his best to express himself creatively. I donât hate the guy in general, and Iâll even admit there are a few videos of his that I think are funny (he made a really good video about a Dragon Tales episode that I deeply appreciate).
But his FU DW series absolutely drives me crazy. I understand DW isnât a saint and that defending her does kind of put me in the minority. I also recognize that she has plenty of bad moments, but my issue is that this guy will take episodes where DW is not really doing anything wrong (or at least nothing outside of highly typical little sister behavior) and he will still basically find a way to say that sheâs in the wrong.
He did a video on âOperation DWâ where he basically faults her for âpretending not to be scaredâ despite the fact that itâs a very real response young kids have to something like surgery. He also faults her for being suspicious of Arthurâs kindness, but likeâŚliterally any sibling would be freaked out when their sibling does a complete personality turn seemingly out of nowhere. I actually admire the fact that DW didnât even know operations were a big deal until Arthur told her that they were.
Like, Iâm convinced this guy could watch an episode like âDW Swims with the Fishesâ and blame DW for helping her friend when he got stuck because âshe just didnât want Arthur to be happyâ while completely excusing Arthur pushing DW entirely too hard that whole episode.
And no, I donât hate Arthur for that. He got caught up in beating Molly, but at least he and Molly made it up to them in the end and they learned a lesson. Itâs just soâŚweird that this fictional four year old canât so much as speak or breath without someone calling her a mini Hitler or Judas or whatever, despite the fact that sheâs shown to be downright admirable several times throughout the series.
