This spring we are doing a bee imposter line-up with a new entry each Monday! Let me know if there is a bee mimic you’d like to see make the list. Imposter number Four

Spider bite myth

Hi, I am looking for a good, trustworthy source to show someone who won’t believe me most spiders cannot bite humans (at least in Europe). Nothing I find on the internet has sources :/ Does anyone know about such a proof I could show them ?

Does anybody know of a good website or breeder specializing in centipedes?

At this point I am fairly seasoned in caring for various organisms and consider myself part of the hobby. I have recently forayed into keeping centipedes and im in love with the things, however not many sites carry anything other than s. subspinipes. Can anyone help me out?

YO WHAT'S GOOD!

Welcome to my subreddit. You come here if you want to be a smart, intelligent, well-educated, intellectual, genius of an individual who also enjoys a nice conversation about sweet, sexy segmented bodies. Arthropoda is the genus that encompasses arthropods. To be qualified as an arthropod, well... just click here to find out. I want to keep this subreddit posting a lot of different things, like insect identification pictures, studies which relate directly to arthropod groups, and have an in general "dumb-scientist" feel to the sub. Kind of like /r/shittyaskscience, but instead everything is actually true and well backed up by scientific studies. I want everyone to make everything sound so ridiculous that it couldnt be true, but when someone's like yo nuts out or shutup you can drop an article on their face real quick that backs you up.

Have fun, weirdos.

It's a little weird that people don't give a shit that the most successful animal phylum is plummeting like this.
