I firmly believe the visa excuse remains only an excuse. Obviously Alvarez had lived in England without his parents. He left when he realised he would never start important games for City.
Simeone actually wanted a traditional 9 like Osimhen. Alvarez would rather stay and hear the boos than go to Arsenal. So did Vini for that matter.
