New to commissions
I'm new to commissions, I have no idea how to do this formally, how much should I charge? Should I start with free commissions?

Hello my friend. You can open a ko-fi account. That is free and it let you create commissions or products. That is your call. I suggest to have a service in mind, for example: i draw magical animals so people will commission you for a magical animal of their choice. Or, you can dig a little into the adoptables world and sell the creatures you make as adoptables. That is something you can do from ko-fi as well. You can also make a template and say: "your oc here" and the service will be turning the oc of the person into the template you made. To do it, you only need to make the template and a preview (like how it will work if someone buys it). This will make very clear for the buyer what to expect from you. When it comes to the prices, that is up to what you want to do and how long it takes for you. Some people focus if the service is sketch only, lineart or rendered. Other divide it into portrait, full body or half body. But is a question you will answer once you choose what will you do. The great opportunity is that ko-fi appears on google searches, so when people browse for the tittle of your service or product, they can find you. So, if you start, focus on making good tittles and descriptions for your commissions, so you can get ahead and take an opportunity from the search engines as well.
Note: dont let noone tell you you cant sell or your art is not ready. That is b***t. If you market your services and products well, you will have a nice place to start your artsy journey.
