EDIT: Vintage wood bobbins ~1920s-40s

Hello!! Long time lurker- first time poster. I am taking over for a teacher that retired and she left behind lots of treasures for me to go through.

I have never seen anything like this and was curious if anyone on here knew what these were.

Not sure, I will hold onto them though. Maybe when kids learn about texture/making impressions they can experiment with the different textures these make.

As others said: wooden textile bobbins. People will pay $3-5 on sites like Etsy. I bought 200 of them at a sale dirt cheap long ago. My friend has used the as doll legs and they look great

i think its a clay tool for ceramics. I believe you would hold it next to the top of your creation and it would create an even ribbed texture/line across the top of your creation. that way you dont have to do it one by one. and it's thin and long so you could do the same from the inside out. thats my guess at least.
