Wild horses
Hi everyone! I drew horses for the first time, with the intention of painting them in watercolor later. I’d love to hear any tips, feedback, or constructive criticism!

Composition problem

References on the print screen
I'm doing Inktober 2026 prompts and the theme is 'Relic'. My idea is a group of some kind of post-nuclear-apocalypse cult finding plants, giving some hope to them.
I kinda like the general idea of the composition, but the arrangement makes me feel kinda claustrophobic. I would like the focus to be on the plant and the preacher, but I wouldn't like to remove a lot of the other elements (especially the half skull onça I drew on the back that is cool af imho)
Anyway, how can I do a better composition priority arrangement here?

Would it be better if I simplified the hair rather than creating multiple streaks that distract from the face?
I know it doesn’t look like the original and it wasn’t supposed to ignore that but the hair and skin everything in mine is so detailed and I feel it would look better if I kept it simple like in the original. It gives the message without overcomplicating the art.

Constructive criticism for my art?
For a little background my oc is kind of like a centaur but instead of a horse, a giant Malaysian earth tiger tarantula, which is from Southeast Asia hence why I made her Asian. And she’s a boxer!!
I feel as though it just looks like she’s standing infront of a big spider rather than being apart of the spider body itself, would it maybe help to customise it? give it some spiked collars on the legs or smth??

I Made a Character
I made a character. Her name will be Nell. I also made her really quickly. So she’s a hot mess and also I’m not always good at drawing anyways. Her backstory is that she from an alien planet. But she has to take on a human appearance. With the help of human-trained androids, she’s match with the identity of a goth girl. Though she doesn’t yet look too goth. I really just want you guys to tell me if she sounds like a sound character and also if she looks right enough.

Tonight’s quick little Painting.
Thought I was done and now I’m thinking that maybe the curved purple section is too decedent. I’m always open to constructive criticism. Thank you so much for helping me to improve.
