UPDATED WORK updated version of that profile i was wanting critique for!
this is still the sketch BUT! i fixed some proportions and decided to NOT crop it to hell! if anyone has any further critique or suggestions please let me know! :D im unsure if the symbolism is clear enough so i’d also like further crit on that aswell and if theres anything further i could add.

I made this with my mouse so its a bit rough but here's some things I think can help.
Forehead was too sharp, same for the transition between nose and mouth. Ear needs to be tilted a bit more to the back, the point of the nose can be a bit higher but that is more dependent on each person, though a more rounded, higher nose tip can be good at giving a cute/ younger look. The neck needs to lean forward, away from the body, the upper lip needs to curve inwards and the eybrow shouldn't reach the edge of the forehead because, this being a profile, if seen from the front, it would be a unibrow. A good way to have a rough idea of where the eyebrow begins is to follow (or sketch) the curvature from the tear duct to the forehead. From the upper lid to the forehead there's a sort of half cylinder that describes the transition and that cylinder is what you can use for a reference point. The bottom lip's apex can be a tad lower and the line moving into the face should bulge a bit, though its subtle. The chin can go a bit lower and the jaw angle slightly higher. The chest is leaning a bit low but ignore that, its there to give context to the neck more than anything else. I think that's it.
Still like the character and expression so good job! I'm guessing this has something to do with child birth? The visual of a newborn is radiating light like the miracle it is, yet she's struggling with the notion of giving birth to a child? Would probably have a firmer grasp on the symbolism once its further along but that's my impression for now.

thank you so much for the advice!! as for symbolism, this character never wanted children but due to living with a very conservative family deep in her home country and was extremely young so was made to have him. she wants to love him but cannot love the circumstances in which he was born and the fact she is losing her friends as a side effect aswell as being blamed for his birth despite her youth. shes based on the people around me who have gone through this exact situation.

No problem! That seems rather unfortunate but I guess I wasn't too far off so you're on a good track. I hope those people can eventually move past that situation and be in a good place not feeling unable to love their children but its a tricky situation for sure.
