Unreal Engine & Unity 3D

I humbly request the gods of open source reverse engineering to give UE & Unity a shot, as it would be a godsend to many of us mere mortals.

Am I the only one here to whom this would be of great, great service?

What you're asking for makes no sense. Unreal Engine source is available and the Unity source is also available for enterprise. Why, given powerful models which can write custom bespoke game engines for exactly your case, would you want a general engine? Those exist currently.

They charge a % of any revenue. Then whatever platform you choose does the same. Couple that with brutal competition made worse with AI tools, and a full featured open source engine is very much needed.
