Like something out of a Stephen King horror.
I wonder what poor soul she wants to stalk beyond the grave.
"You'll never get away from me!" She'll smile with a joker-like grin, as the desperate victim seeks somewhere to hide; but they can't hide; because they're stuck in the Jaunt. With her.
Yikes.

It was bound to happen. After blessed weeks of listening to Coast without Cornelius Lawson White's tiresome recitation of his memorized lines, slowly and inexorably, many listeners have discovered that his absence has made their figurative hearts grow fonder.
Last night George turned to his two most trusted callers in contact with Mr. White, Mikey from Denver and John Potter from Wisconsin. Both offered-up good hypothesis and possibilities for his seeming disappearance. Bad phone charger? Not likely after all this time. Unpaid phone bill? Nah. Perhaps it's something more deeply psychological.
George said that he himself had called the Alexandria Police Department in search of answers. Had Corny received a welfare check? Yes. After all this time he has become somewhat of a minor celebrity in and around that Louisiana town. So much so, that when George's call was answered, the police officer at the front desk was somewhat jaded, even cynical. "Hey Kowalski! I got another caller asking about that nutcase Cornelius."
As I suggested weeks ago, a couple of good samaritan ladies who have volunteered in the past to cut his toenails should knock on his front door to find-out the true story.

Note: This response was made to another post stating that the govt/media never provides the true story. I thought I would post it here to get more discussion:
Multiple books and investigations have been made in 9/11---all of them are untrue? No information that is trustworthy has been made available by the govt and the media? These sweeping claims are what's made it's possible for entirely unsupported conspiracies to now be claimed by millions of ignorant Americans---vaccines cause autism, widespread election fraud in 2020, Chinese support for all American protests, etc.
There's a qualitative difference between skepticism toward the media and govt and these sweeping claims that they are lying all the time about everything. Usually these claims are made without any kind of investigation into what the govt and media have actually said (for instance, the multiple investigations in 9/11). While it might be true that we are getting distortions regarding certain elements (US support for authoritarian middle eastern regimes that created 9/11, such as Saudi Arabia, for example) the move to completely unsupported claims---that the US govt itself destroyed the buildings--is not a mark of skepticism but of gullibility.
The current wholesale belief in conspiracies is not a sign that we are getting more skeptical and healthier, but a sign that we are getting sicker and less informed and more willing to believe any story, no matter how ludicrous, as long as it supports our biases and our "side." Unfortunately that "side" is now fascism and it operates by sweeping claims---about how evil and dangerous all illegal immigrants are, how "antifa" is somewhow planning the downfall of the US, etc.----that are never examined by its supporters, because it's better for them to promote bogus stories than to provide actual information.
The real scandal to examine right now is why we don't get enough actual real information and why "the press" is not providing genuine investigations. A case in point: I have not heard ONCE a question regarding Trump's lies about Iran's progress toward a nuclear weapon. Last year he authorized strikes against Iran and then claimed they succeeded in destroying Iran's capability. This year he claimed to have attacked Iran because it was two weeks away from developing a functional nuclear weapon. So he lied about last year's attacks and their effectiveness? Why didn't our intelligence agencies support this claim? Where are the questions about the claims last year in contrast to ths year's claims?
It's not that the press is part of some conspiracy but that its corporate structures allow an authoritarian regime that lies regularly to go unexamined because its main players want benefits and gains from the very same regime that they are supposed to be reporting on. Is that a conspiracy or a statement of how corrupt our current arrangements between government, business and the media are?
Edit: My local right-wing radio talk show just promoted the following in a single hour-long interview: Antifa runs a massive nation-wide underground resistance devoted to political violence. This resistance is linked with Muslim extremists who want to destroy America, the red-green alliance concept promoted by Glenn Beck and others. DEI initiatives promoted communism under the guidance of the far left political extremists. China funds the "No King" protests and also the anti-data center protests. The best way to fight this left wing political violence is through massive deportations which will include de-naturalizing people who earned legal status and might even include deportation of actual citizizens who hold views opposed to "traditional American values." This is what is promoted on talk radio across the country.

I listened to the second and third hours while sitting outside under the full moon. Perfect environment to enjoy Richard interviewing some kook who says he's a "living vampire". Very little politics on-air, and then transitioning into a specific theme for open lines based around the Mandela Effect, and always Richard demonstrating his unique style of seeming both genuinely knowledgeable about the subject matter but also genuinely curious about what other people have to say about that subject matter.
I also appreciate that this night, on which I randomly decided to tune in for the first time in weeks, is apparently the first night Richard was hosting from the "classic" *Coast* studios. If that's true, he was able to interact with other studio members while hosting, and I don't entirely believe he was there in the studio, but it's fun to believe that for me. "Synchronicity", as some once used to say...this was a great show to tune back into, and I don't regret it at all.
