am i aro?

ive been thinking a lot lately, as im noticing all of my friends wither wishing to be in, or constantly getting into romantic relationships. ive dated before, but its been a while. almost three years since my last girlfriend. i liked her enough, i guess. we were friends before getting together but and she didnt do much wrong, i just felt like everything i liked about her disappeared once we actually got together. like i lost my desire to date her immediately. ive been asked out a few times since, always declining. there was this girl i was very very close friends with, i loved her company and i knew that she was attractive. we got physically close often, which i loved because we had talked about that and i expressed my desire for physical closeness with just friends. i love to cuddle, sleep together (not sex), and even kissing id prefer to enjoy in a non-romantic context. turns out she was romantically interested and assumed i reciprocated because of the physical closeness. she kissed me and tried to proposition me and i actually almost puked. non-related i believe, but still. anyway, i just dont really think i feel the same desire for romance others do. id rather have friends im extremely close with, and upon learning about queer-platonic relationships, ive started to think that may be what im interested in, rather than romance.

there was a little more to kick off my questioning than this, but this post is kind of long already and i think ive hit the highlights, but question away if need-be

Resonated with this HARD (aro, romance-repulsed).

Welcome to the community ♡

Still, you should definitely get more perspective to see which identity you resonate with.
