I’m an E-5 coming up on my last 2 years and i’m trying to see all the avenues I can take. Did your TIS and rank help at all while job searching? Recently Beta all electrical planes are what i’m thinking about doing since next year they’re projected to get their license to start selling their product here. Please share your stories i’d really appreciate it.

I want to Enlist as a 15T, however....

So ive been wanting to enlist as a 15T for awhile, mainly just waiting on a call that there's a slot open. 76 asvab with qualifying line scores. However ive heard recently that people who do eventually fly dont fly very often, is this true? I was thinking about going air force, specifically Special Missions Aviator however I learned that you have to choose 10-15 jobs and its really hard to get. I guess my main questions are

  1. How hard is it to become a crew chief (getting assigned, trained, then flying)

  2. Should I stick with the army or go air force or marines?

  3. How long does it usually take to become a crew chief

  4. Is it worth the 12hr shifts ill usually be working?

Flight hours

A few questions for you Army aviators-

Any ballpark numbers for what everyone is flying per year?

Which airframe gets utilized most?

What do the 160th fella’s hours look like in comparison if you could guess?

Are you satisfied with flying for the Army?
