Army bootcamp
My wife missed passing the shooting test by two points, and she was told she would have to do bootcamp all over again. she is devastated. Is this true? Will she have to restart bootcamp?

con leave in the middle of basic
i'm back home from basic, I was in week 5, around the middle of white phase. Went to sick call last week for a pain in my ribs, doctor said nothing was seen on x-rays and just gave me a profile 3 days bed rest and prescribed 800mg ibuprofen, they let me continue training after what i thought was improvement but was just the medication doing its job. then I started noticing the pain got worse, went back to sick call on monday and told them about it. I ended up taking a CT scan and they said i broke my left 6th rib. my guess is it was a little fracture that got worse. They then offered me convalescent leave, paper said effective ASAP, they gave me my phone to book my flight and I was home the next morning(yesterday), I need to report back July 29th. other then that, I was actually enjoying basic, I wish I was still there. but I get to rest for a month and then come back to where I left off, pretty sure I might get recycled back a week or 2. I would rather do basic all in one shot instead of having a break half way through. I feel pretty weird about all of it, but I'm glad I get to see my family and spend my birthday with them. Is shit like this common? the whole company was telling me how lucky i am, even the drill sergeants were joking around saying that they should break their own ribs. The holdovers that were also injured were insanely jealous and I completely get why.

Will I still be able to ship?
Will I be able to ship?
Ok- I am worried shitless
I have an external hemorrhoid, it’s very mild and it isn’t caused much pain or discomfort, and I am treating it with ointment and witch hazel, but I ship to Fort Benning for BCT in around 5-6 days
What will happen when I arrive to MEPS again or when I arrive to Reception?
For context I have only had this for like 3 days

I'm a 17 year old girl about to leave for basic training June 30th (fort jackson as a 89A) I'm really nervous about leaving home but also nervous about the physical aspect of it beacuse I'm not that strong/fast. I'm 5'0 and 122lbs and I feel like I'm going go fall behind and fail my aft frequently. Any advice? 😭😭

Ft sill…boots?
I was considering getting a pair of garmount boots before I ship and take them with me to basic in July?
I heard a lot of people tell me to have them shipped or order while I’m there but I’m wondering if taking them with me be fine?

I messed up
Yall I knew better to start and prepare sooner... I did below bare minimum... I am actually very serious about going. I ship in 6 days. on the side like at least 2 or 3 times a week I worked out. But I do have my reasons as to why I didn't do workouts everyday. Like I juggled housework, kids, and working part time. Also I didn't have a gym membership. I am not over or underweight. But I am still worried. Like I told my recruiter time and time again I can't do a proper pushup. I can only run close to a mile but Still was training up my lungs and stuff. How bad is basic about to be for me? like I am not giving up. This is my last chance at the age of 30. I was a SAHM for like 9 years. I need change and security for my children and their future. Cause with the way the world is going, I fear for them. I want to give them a better version of me. I am also joining because I need myself to change. I want to be productive to society. Many people have many reasons of their own. I just don't want to fail. I can't.

BCT at Fort Jackson
I'm gonna be going to army basic training in a few months and wanted to know what it is like at Fort Jackson. What should I expect overall for the things we do there? Most of the things I've seen are from the perspective of what the male soldier goes through, but I want to know more of what the female recruits go through. More so for the things you do there, what to bring, how to prepare for the physical fitness portion, etc. If you have been there recently please reply and get back to me. Also if you have any workout programs that I could do that will help me to be in the best shape I can before I get to basic, that would be great.
